Hotel Rivièra Muchik is located at the beachfront of Huanchaco, an unimpressive seaside town for backpackers and national-tourists. Staffs are friendly and helpful.||||The 3-stars hotel offers rooms over 5 floors. The hotel is situated at the boulevard with rather busy traffic. When you refrain from an ocean view: rooms at the back side are more quiet. The hotel is well maintained, clean and non-smoking. Complimentary Wi-Fi Internet and a simple breakfast with eggs cooked to order.||||Our practical twin room was adequately decorated and furnished, with good-beds. The room had a TV on the wall, desk & chair and wardrobe. We had a small separate bathroom with washbasin, toilet and shower. The shower was a disaster: no water pressure and no hot water. They were not friendly at all. When I returned from my morning walk on the beach, they almost offensively confronted me with a “Disculpe??” — as if I were trying to break into the hotel or something. My room was completely visible from the bus stop across the street, and loud music was blasting from homeless people and street vendors right outside the window. The room was extremely small, there was no hot water in the shower, traffic noise was constant under the window, and the entire hotel was tastelessly decorated. The neighborhood was full of trash, and I was even attacked by stray dogs at night. I do not recommend either the hotel or the city. I cut my stay short after...
