Los Esteros Hostal — Hotel in Huanchaco

My experience at Los Esteros was one i will not soon forget. Despite its namesake, Los Esteros is a hotel, not a hostal. Its rooms are clean, quiet and comfortable. They give you clean towels every other day and change your sheets. The staff is dedicated to keeping the place immaculately clean. I think the staff truly takes pride in running this hotel very well. The front desk has an attendant 24 hours a day should you need any assistance. a stay at Los Esteros is not complete without experiencing all what the restaurant has to offer. Everything from the wonderfully fresh juices for breakfast to a late night ceviche snack, it´s all wonderful and prepared fresh. Before i arrived, i was sick with stomach issues. The staff made sure to feed me just what i needed to get better. Should you have any special dietary needs, the staff here is eager to please, so they definitely get top marks from me. I stayed here for just over a week, and i cant help but feel like part of the family. The people are so warm and inviting you cant help but want to be a part of that. Pasamos 3 o 4 noches en este hotel. La noche anterior a irnos, violentaron la cerradura de la puerta de la habitación (que estaba cerrada con llave y en el 3er piso) y nos robaron dinero en efectivo, dos billeteras con documentación, dinero argentino y peruano, documentos, tarjeta de crédito, un reloj cardíaco, celular Nokia moderno, cámara digital Sony que estaba cargando.||En ese momento, yo acababa de salir de la habitación en busca de mi marido que estaba en el lobby del hotel con la gente del hotel. ||Al subir, mi marido y encontrar todo revuelto, la puerta abierta y una almohada detrás, vuelve a bajar y por pocos minutos no se cruza con el presunto autor, un pasajero alojado en el hotel por una noche...||Estábamos todos en la planta baja, el tipo salió campante dejando su llave (202) y salió con su mochila.||Ni bien advertimos esto, una empleada dice" el de la 202" y la otra dice "seguro que los estuvo siguiendo".||Nos subimos a esa hipótesis, pero con el tiempo pienso que todos los del hotel están involucrados. De hecho, esa noche nos dejaron completamente solos (no había más nadie alojado), nos nos ofrecieron ninguna ayuda por más mínima que parezca: monedas para llamar por teléfono, ofrecer un teléfono que hiciera llamadas internacionales, ni siquiera un té o un café !!!!! Mi marido es cardíaco, no les puedo decir cómo estaba de alterado y yo conteniendo mi rabia.||Vino a policía y luego de tocar todo y husmear nuestras cosas, se fue sin hacer nada. Están ellos también complotados. Seguramente.||Al día siguiente, fuimos a Trujillo llevando ¡nosotros! un oficio pidiendo la toma de huellas digitales y luego a encontrar un locutorio para bloquear las tarjetas. Un día después!!!!!||Es increíble que pase todo esto en pleno siglo 21. ||Perú= informalidad, Perú = desprotección, Perú = maltrato al turista.||Busquen otro destino, no vayan a Perú.||Ahora estamos con abogados, para reclamar por los daños y perjuicios ocasionados y también por riesgo de vida. ||Hago totalmente responsables a los...

The room itself was decent. A double bed, plastic table, and a tv although bed was very hard. We had a bedroom looking over the ocean which was very nice. We couldn't run hot water in the shower the first day but the owner fixed it as soon as we reported the problem. However, the last day we were there there was a horrible odor coming from the shower that resembled sewage. We didnt dare get in the shower after smelling that.||The room was cleaned each day and we were always left with fresh towels and new soap. ||The room was way way overpriced for what it was, just a room, no breakfast included.
