Dont take me wrong, the "Lomo Saltado" that is the prima donna of all their main courses was fantastic, however the sides not very good. I asked for "Tacu tacu con Lomo Saltado a lo Pobre" meaning a Tacu-tacu (mixed rice and beans fried) with Lomo Saltado on top and fried bananas and eggs (the last 2 make honor to the part of the name "a lo Pobre") Well at first they brought me only the Tacu tacu and lomo saltado, not "a lo Pobre". So I asked the waiter, "i asked for "a lo Pobre" he replied that he could bring the bananas and the eggs on another dish, I told him no that I wanted on the same dish. So far so good, he came back with the dish as it was supposed to be served in the beginning. So I tried it, Tacu tacu first with some of the Lomo Saltado gravy... Hmmm ... It was awefully cold. Asked a lady that was walking around, looked like the admin of the place, about my problem with the cold food. Very politely she took the dish and told me they're going to bring me a freshly made new dish, and i agreed and thank her. Long story short, they brought me new dish, it was the same. Didnt want to make a scene there so i ate it like that. So ... big wait in line a for a table for not...
Read moreI visited this restaurant for the second time recently, and while the flavor was still fantastic, I noticed they’ve reduced the portion of meat in the Lomo Saltado 😕. That said, it remains one of the best places to get Lomo Saltado in the area, and I still highly recommend it!
I also tried the Milanesa de Pollo with Tallarines a la Huancaina—the pasta was especially delicious. To drink, I had the chicha morada, which was refreshing and well-made.
I hope the meat portions return to what they used to be—comparing my visit from two years ago (last two photos), I remember the servings being more generous. Despite this, I’ll likely return to try other dishes from their menu.
A helpful tip: it’s better to make a reservation on weekends, as the place gets packed. Also, the staff are some of the friendliest and most attentive I’ve...
Read moreThe food was amazing and great quality. We didn’t need a reservation ahead of time as they said that we can just walk in and be served. After scanning the QR code and seeing the menu, We wanted to eat everything in the because it looked so good. I didn’t really like that the waiter tried to upsell and have us order something similar to our dishes with a higher price, but his recommendations were really good. Another waitress sometimes seemed a bit serious too so I give the service 3 stars. Most of the staff were very kind though. It was entertaining watching the chefs cook, especially the one cooking with flames 🔥. The restaurant had some Japanese decorations as well. It’s a very clean and...
