A Complete Disaster: TGI Fridays (Domestic Terminal – Lima Airport)
I used to be a loyal fan of the TGI Fridays in the international terminal of Lima Airport. It was a reliable comfort—decent food, decent service, and a place to kill time before a flight. So when I saw they had opened a new location in the domestic terminal, I was optimistic. Unfortunately, that optimism was crushed the moment I walked in.
Let’s be clear: this was not just a bad experience. It was a complete shit show from start to finish.
First—no drink menu. Not even a printed one. You’re left awkwardly guessing what they might have and hoping the overwhelmed staff remembers to bring it. The place was slammed, clearly understaffed, and the entire operation felt like a sinking ship with no captain.
Ordering was a challenge. Getting anyone to follow up after your food arrives? Nearly impossible.
And then there was the food… or whatever sad, half-assed excuse for a burger they dumped on my plate. I ordered the barbecue bacon burger. What I got? Two dry patties with a slice of cheese and a leaf of lettuce. No bacon. No barbecue sauce. No tomato. No onion. No apology. Just a flavorless, slapped-together embarrassment on a bun.
It took nearly 30 minutes to flag someone down to even acknowledge the mistake—only to be met with indifference. No offer to remake it. No discount. No customer service. Just a shrug and a full-price bill for something I didn’t order and wouldn’t have eaten had I known.
Look, I get it—new terminal, new restaurant, growing pains. But this wasn’t a small misstep. This was a meltdown. The kind of chaotic, careless service that makes you question why you even bothered sitting down.
I might give them another shot when I’m back in Lima in a couple of months… but this won’t be a three-strikes situation. If they haven’t sorted out their act by then, I’m done. And so is anyone I care enough to warn.

Read moreI was here at the end of November and the service was very friendly and the food was served fast.
I ordered a portion of Nachos with Guacamole and a glass of Red Wine, both where not shown on the menu that the waitress brought, I only wanted a snack.
The wine tasted really good, the Nachos too, however the Guacamole wasn't fresh, didn't taste good and had some brown spots already.
The big surprise came with the invoice, 60 Soles (almost 16$) for one glass of wine and 40 Soles (10$) for the Nachos with Guacamole.
I know I should have asked for the prices before ordering, especially at the airport but going to TGI Fridays in Lima city, where you get lunch deals for 25 Soles (6.50$) for a Burger + Fries and a soup or salad as Starter, I didn't expect the bill to be 100 Soles.
Everything on the menu is...
Read moreOrdered 2x cheese bacon burger and fries, when 2 came out for service waiter tried to serve 2 to another table and they informed him only 1 ordered which the waiter left with them! The waiter returned to kitchen and could be seen checking digital order display with kitchen. There followed a 10minute gap until we got 2x service ordered and when it came 1x burger, plate and fries were cold and the other lovely and hot? Conclusion - don't try and cover poor service up at the expense of customer service and satisfaction. Not sure as to TGI Friday history in Lima Airport Peru but thank goodness UK TGI's are ok - my advice stay away and if you do risk it, keep your eyes peeled on your food as it leaves...
