This hotel is right across from the airport in Lima. Lima airport is fairly big sized airport, very busy and full of people everywhere. But you feel safe. From the airport luggage claim you can already see the hotel across from the road. The hotel is juat a short walk across the busy main airport road way. Along the way there are a lot of people asking you if you will need a ride, or a place to stay. The hotel lobby is fairly small, with a lot of people waiting in the lobby for their early morning wee hour flight back to the States (Delta flight departs at 2am to Atlanta). We stayed in the hotel for two nights, one on the way to Machu Picchu and the other on the way back. The hotel is quite expensive, paying US$179 for three people. This is the price you would expect to pay at an equivalent US hotel near the airport. The room is quite small. There are two bottles of water n the room, compliment of the hotel. The breakfast is included. We caught an early breakfast on the way to M.P. to catch the flight. The breakfast starts very early but not early enough for us. They have some basic items before 6am, but full breakfast don't come out until after 6am, when we were already gone. We also missed the second breakfast since we checked out at 12am midnight to catch the Delta flight back to the States. The ATM machine was out of order when we stayed. Note the ATM machine at the airport has a maximum of 400 soles withdrawal limit per transaction(not US$400). They will give you free drinks at the hotel lobby bar. The most incredible thing happened to me is what I will never forget. At the midnight check out, maybe I just woke up and in a hurry, I actually forgot my wallet in my hotel room, and I didn't realize that until I checked out, was in the middle of the airport on my way to check in my baggage, when I was stopped by a hotel staff. He asked me if I forgot my wallet in my room in the hotel. I was still perplexed: my wallet should be with me, but as I searched my pockets I couldn't find my wallet! He told me they have my wallet, and I said could you go back to fetch me my wallet since I was in a hurry? He immediately ran back towards the hotel, and I was also walking back. Just before reaching the hotel another uniformed hotel staff ran just past me, but stopped by the first staff. He held up my wallet and opened it up to show me everything was there. I checked and nothing was missing. I had all my credit cards there, my driver's license, my cash, and other important documents in the wallet and I couldn't imagine what kind of trouble I will run into if I lost it. I was speechless. I don't know how to thank them - I never lost a wallet before, especially in a foreign country. I gave them some money as a way to appreciate their honesty and efforts to get the wallet back to me. I want to write to their general manager also, to tell him what happened, and to express my gratitude. Too bad in the dark of the night, in a hurry, in awe, I didn't even get...

I regularly stay at this hotel on my way through Lima to other South American destinations. You canât beat the location and convenience (literally connected to the airport terminal by an elevated walkway), the 24-hour facilities are nice, the rooms are consistently clean (though unfortunately cold due to lack of central heating), and the staff are excellent and wonderfully accommodating. Angeli at the front desk is particularly fantastic! She always remembers me and greets me like an old friend each time. Excellent customer service from Angeli!

Original Review:
I have stayed at the Lima Airport Costa del Sol many times and have a few more future reservations booked. Overall there are a number of great things about this hotel:
âConvenience: Itâs hard to beat the location of this hotel. Literally across the street from the terminal, with a skybridge that connects almost directly to the boarding area. Wonderful! âSuites: The suites, though not âluxuriousâ are quite nice and very big (very long more accurately). âStaff: Everyone Iâve interacted with during my stays has been very friendly and helpful. âRestaurant: The restaurant (Paprika) has good food and wine, with a friendly and attentive wait staff. Infinitely better than the miserable food court in the terminal, so I highly recommend having your preflight meal here. âDay Rooms: On a recent trip I was able to book a day room in advance between two overnight flights. Wonderfully convenient and I was able to get some beautiful (and much needed) sleep before my second redeye. âHot showers: Without fail, I can always count on a hot shower at this hotel, with strong pressure. (Also, the toilet handles toilet paper, unlike so many hotels in Peru.)
My one and only complaint, and why I didnât give five stars (more like 4.5) is the lack of heat in the rooms. Callao/Lima can get windy, is always cloudy, and is often downright chilly, particularly at night. The in-room air system has a setting for heat, but it never works. As a result the rooms can be cold, borderline uncomfortable, so the hot showers are a blessing.
Overall a very good hotel in a great location, with a friendly staff. Thumbs up.
What will happen, however, with the new terminal under construction? Costa del Sol, any...
Read moreI would guess that many of the reviews are fake. I have never had such an unpleasant stay at any hotel in my entire life.
Our itinerary had us landing in Lima very late and our connecting flight to Cusco leaving very early. We only needed a place to sleep for about six hours. Unfortunately we didn't get a single minute of sleep. The only thing we needed was a place to rest.
There are many things that were terrible about this hotel. The rooms are so bear that it looks like somebody was taking items out of it to get ready to demolish or remodel it. Still this didn't matter to us for our short sleep. The beds and mattress are extremely old, flimsy and lumpy. Because we were very tired and it was very late this didn't bother us. Neither the beds or the rooms affected our short stay.
What did not allow us to have any rest was how loud it was throughout the night. If any door to any room on your floor closes you will not only hear it loudly in your room but you will also feel a shake. If there is anyone walking by your room in the hallway and they are speaking in a normal speaking voice you will hear them so clearly that you can discern every single word they are speaking. Much of the one star reviews are echoing the same thing already and I wish I had read that instead of looking at the overall average rating which has clearly been manipulated by fake reviews.
Still I did not want to write a bad review that could negatively affect others who work at the hotel but I had to after I voiced my concerns to the manager Daniel U.
When I wrote to him his first response was to put the blame on me for not asking for another room. However, we were told clearly and explicitly upon check-in that there was no other room available and the one that we were going to occupy was the single room in the entire hotel that was available. In his follow-up response he simply apologized but didn't offer anything, not even a partial refund.
I know it is tempting to book a room here because of its proximity to the airport, especially if you are in a situation like we were where we only had a few hours to sleep.
Do yourself a favor and take a ride further from the airport even if it means it will take more time. For me taking a bit more time to get actual sleep is far better than having more time to not...
