I liked the food and the atmosphere. The service seemed good and friendly. Until the bill came. I had ordered a plate of 59 soles, a plate of 42,50 and two drinks of 6,50 soles each for me and my wife. So I expected a bill around 120 soles. The bill was like 145 something. I thought ok, I have miscalculated or Or I didn't read the menu properly. I told the waitress to make it 155. She asked me. don´t you want to give 10%? I said ok, because I didn´t want to look cheap. So I payed 161,50. My wife said to me, why is the bill that high? I said, I don´t understand. So we asked the menu again and compared it with the bill. Acording to the menu my plate was 59. Acording to the bill 80. So we asked another person of the restaurant(the waitress dissapeared) why the diference? He asked me wich fish did you order. I said Corvina. Oh he said, with Corvina it costs 80. I remembered the waitress asking me, do you want your pescado a la macho with covina or with Lenguada. I choose Corvina, because it sounds nicer. I don´t remember her telling me that would lift the price. But than again it is possible she told me. Spanish is not my first language In a noisy room I tend to say:¨ si,si,si todo bien¨, when they ask me something I can´t hear really well. Apart from that, a nice restaurant. I think I would go...
Read moreEverything about this place is incredible. The ambiance is perfect, the music is peaceful, and the staff is SO KIND! I love this establishment so much. The food is also EXCEPTIONAL. I started the meal off with their special hangover cure broth which had infused crab and fish. This was warming, filling, and refreshing. Then I moved on to this tiger milk ceviche with fried calamari on top. PERFECTO!!!
Then the main stars of the show arrived: the grilled octopus which was so good I almost cried tears of joy and the fried pejerrey with fried cassava and pickled onions. These were absolutely delicious. The flavors of the octopus made my taste buds jump for joy, and the acidity in the pickled onions complemented the fried fish so well. Lastly, the mistelio mule was a perfect cocktail with this meal. The passion fruit and ginger ale worked so well together, and the sweetness in the drink was balanced. The mixologist was very talented.
Also, I need to give a huge shout out to my waiter David. He was so patient, very professional, and explained the menu perfectly. He is an undeniable asset to the restaurant.
All in all, this was honestly one of the best meals I have had in my entire life. I can’t recommend this...
