As de Oro in Pisco felt like an oasis in the middle of our journey—welcoming, peaceful, and unexpectedly exceptional. Tucked away just a few minutes from the town center, this charming restaurant offered us not just a meal, but a moment of true delight and relaxation.

From the moment we arrived, the warm hospitality set the tone. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, with a laid-back yet elegant setting that made us feel instantly at home. But what truly made the experience unforgettable was the food.

The arroz con mariscos was simply outstanding—rich, fragrant, and perfectly balanced. Every bite was packed with fresh seafood and vibrant Peruvian flavors. It’s the kind of dish that lingers in your memory long after the last spoonful. Paired with a surprisingly refined local Peruvian wine recommended by the staff, the combination elevated the whole dining experience to another level.

The service was friendly and attentive without being intrusive, and the staff genuinely seemed proud of the dishes they served. It’s clear that As de Oro is run with both heart and skill.

In a region where dining options can be hit-or-miss, As de Oro stood out as a true gem. For anyone passing through Pisco, this restaurant is more than worth the stop—it’s a culinary retreat you won’t forget.

Hands down one of the best meals we had in Peru throughout our three-week trip.

We had the tallines con pesto + lomo soltado, palta rellena con langostinas and sopa de champiñones. Absolutely unreal meal. Sealed the deal with some helado (assorted flavours available) and it came dressed like a sundae with chocolate sauce and mini M&Ms — such a nice and unexpected touch.

For cocktails, the Piscina was robust and fruity but be warned: it’s huge! You’ll be wobbly afterwards, haha.

Also ordered the Campeón de Campeones — fabulous Pisco cocktail that well may have outshone the dozen Pisco sours we’d tried over the weeks.

Pricier than most but for the quality, cannot be beat. If you find their prices are not something to balk at, do yourself a favour...

My husband and I went to As de Oro's last night to celebrate Valentines Day. It was everything and more than we expected. The food was delicious, our Pisco Sours were perfect, the server was excellent and the atmosphere was perfect. We arrived around 7:00 p.m. and got a table by the pool.
