People visit this place for the vegetarian options. I tried this place multiple times, and finally, the chicken sandwich was the one thing that was good! It may have been the veggie shortage, but the wrap I had barely had any veggies in it. The Caesar salad is not a Caesar salad because of the absence of the main ingredient: Caesar dressing. Instead they use a ketchup + mayo combo (they call it 'golf sauce'). The caprese panini isn't on panini bread, but toast and uses a skimpy amount of shredded mozzarella. I stopped trying to get smoothies there after ordering a chocolate one and being returned with a non-chocolate mixed fruit substitution that I didn't want. The pies are really tasty though. Better off going here for a coffee and pastry or a beer than food. Lemon merengue pies are good!! The setup and atmosphere...

We had a delicious dinner here. Very fair prices (paid 16 soles for the menu del Dia with two courses and a drink) for the high quality. They also have very healthy salad options and delicious tartes as dessert. Everything tasted incredibly fresh, as if just made. They use local ingredients when possible and I think you can taste it. We also shared a strawberry daiquiri and enjoyed the magnificent view of the Plaza del Armas. Great way to see the sun go down.

Big warning: we repeatedly asked if the menu was vegetarian and the waitress said yes. It turned out to be chicken. This is partly on us as our Spanish is still in its infancy, but watch out Peruvians often consider chicken vegetarian. Anyway I'm not letting it affect my score as it was just a big...

The food was really great, nice to have a 'green meal' after all the meat dishes that you usually get in Peru. Service was bad tho, once the waitress had brought our food, we never saw a waiter again. Had to go down to ask for the menu again for our dessert, waited for 10 minutes before i went down again and order our dessert. These were 2 frappes and a piece of lemon pie (already prepared on the counter). Took 25 minutes, although there was only one other guest (who didn't order anything). When another waitress brought us our frappes, she first went to the table with the guy sitting alone (with 2 frappes as an order) 😅 the frappes were also 90% mixed ice cubes with barely...

It's probably one of the best choice in Puerto Maldonado. The place is nicely located away from the noise by the river. It serves healthy salads, bowls, sandwiches, wraps, crepes and pizzas... So very much adapted to tourists looking for something different than Peruvian food. There is a very nice relaxing atmosphere with cool sofas upstairs and nice music. Downstairs, the major problem is the smell that comes from time to time from the gutters presumably. The second issue is that you can probably fit only about 25 people upstairs.
