Great Filipino Comfort Food at Gerry’s Grill

My partner and I recently dined at Gerry’s Grill and had a wonderful experience enjoying their classic Filipino dishes. We ordered palabok, bulalo, chicken kebab, and lumpiang shanghai, paired with hot calamansi juice.

While waiting for our food, the staff kindly served us potato chips, which was a nice touch and made the wait more enjoyable. The palabok had a rich, flavorful sauce with generous toppings, making it a satisfying choice. The bulalo was warm and comforting, with tender beef and a delicious broth perfect for a cozy meal. The chicken kebab was well-seasoned and had a nice smoky flavor, though we wished the portion was slightly larger. The lumpiang shanghai was crispy and packed with well-seasoned filling, a perfect side dish to complete our meal. The hot calamansi juice was refreshing and soothing, balancing out the richness of our food.

The service was commendable, with Ma’am Jam, Sir Allan, and Ma’am Mitch, attending to us. They were attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. The ambiance was relaxed, making it a great spot for couples to dine and enjoy good food. While there were moments when we had to wait a bit, the overall experience was satisfying. Not to mention the crispy chips as appetizer.

We went here for dinner with the fam and the taste of Gerry's food is mostly consistent whichever branch you go to but this branch specifically, served us great tasting food especially the crispy bicol express and kare kare. The food tastes delicious and the presentation is good. The food is a bit pricey though. My only issue here is the inside of the restaurant is a bit hot but they compensate it with big fans. We went here on a saturday night so the place was packed with customers so it was understandable that we struggled a bit to call the server. I ordered food thru grab, paid thru gcash, wrong food delivered. Ordered: sizzling sisig, sinigang na bangus, binagoongan rice & received calamares, fried chicken & ampalaya.
