Karsa — Restaurant in 2nd District

I was looking for a place with good reviews online where my family and I can celebrate and eat together when I stumbled upon Karsa. High reviews in both Google and Facebook, so we considered trying.

Upon entering the restaurant, some of their staff were together finishing up a quick meal and they all greeted us with "kain po tayo" just like what a true Filipino does. Instantly warms the heart 🥰

The Mister who seemed to be one of the owners also immediately welcomed us, handed the menu, and even assisted my Dad on where to properly park. There was one unavailable item in our list of orders but they quickly recommended alternatives 👌Our pitcher of iced tea came first with our appetizer. Rice meals were also served promptly. Reviews regarding big servings were all true, very sulet. Not only do they have big servings, the quality and taste are all great, from their appetizer, sandwiches, drinks, pasta, and even their rice meals, lahat masarap 👏

Their service is really top notch, yung hihingin mo pa lang dapat if sa ibang resto (water, ice, tissue, etc.), pero sa kanila, they provide it agad. Once they see you're running out of water, they offer you more. They even gave complimentary garlic bread and mint candies 🥰 There was also an instance where I tied my hair up just because it was disrupting my eating, the guy instantly offered the electric fan because he thought naiinitan ako. Grabe, they take time to see the needs of their customers. Personal touch talaga. This is customer service even greater than other hotels can provide. 🙌

I would like to also note their humor and social skills. They take time to communicate with us to make us feel at home and at ease during our meal at their resto. Galing!

Will surely be coming back to try their other offerings as they have a wide variety of food on...

Rating this as 4.5 ⭐️ We dropped by on a Wednesday but they were closed for maintenance/renovation(?) so we ended up at Tablo (which was a happy unplanned dinner).

We came back on a Thursday and they were open. It’s alfresco and looking at the menu I initially thought that the price is a bit on the pricey side compared to what will be served. That was a wrong assumption! Serving size was big and the food was delicious! Service was great too! I forgot that we were in a converted garage-restaurant because of the service, utensils/serving plates used, and of course the food. I loved the food here! Although it’s a bit on the pricey side, you can definitely tell quality ingredients are used. My fave was the pan de tostada (yema and condensed milk). Truffle pasta is to die forrrr!!! The bangus belly hits the right spots. Sotanghon could improve, kinda dry for me. But they have Good serving size for everything we ordered!
