Disappointing Experience at Talk Cravings in Anda Food Park
We’ve been to Anda Food Park many times because we love trying different food spots. Tonight, we were craving something warm, so we decided to dine in and order corn soup—something we had before and really enjoyed. We also got a shrimp Alfredo. Unfortunately, this visit was a total disappointment.
First, the corn soup had no corn at all. It was supposed to be slightly thick and rich, but instead, it was just a watery soup with carrots and chickpeas (which they tried to pass off as corn!). Then, when the shrimp Alfredo arrived, it was served on a tiny plate—not even a proper dinner plate!
On top of that, the service was terrible. We were only given one spoon and fork & soup bowl, even though we ordered rice. When we asked for an extra spoon, the server gave us a bad attitude and made it obvious she didn’t want to be there. When we pointed out the missing corn, another staff member insisted the chickpeas were corn—seriously?!
What’s worse is that this wasn’t our first bad experience with the same server. A few nights ago, we tried to order from Talk Cravings, and she was already giving us attitude. After a few minutes, she just decided to close the stall. Why even bother running a food business with that kind of service?
Honestly, we’ve always had a great experience ordering from epicurean and other stalls, but this was beyond frustrating. Definitely not going back to Talk...

There's a bar that solely sells alcoholoc drinks so you have no choice but to buy there.
We ordered 3 bottles of 1L. beer (₱180 each) and 3 bucketfuls of cracked ice (₱20 each).
We saw other customers who (locals) who were bringing in some chips and pizza from outside shops so we thought that it is okay to bring in some.
We bought a bottle of beer outside (₱120 each) and some griiled fares and no one told us that it's prohibited.
When we were about to leave, they asked us to pay ₱100 for the corkage fee from bringing in stuff. We told them that nobody prohibited us and that other customers are doing it so we thought it's okay. I even asked them to provide us with official receipt of everything we paid for plus the said corkage fee but they said they ran out of official receipt (which we all know is a penalized offense by the BIR).
We asked if we could talk to the owner but they said that the owner was eating and couldn't speak with us.
I called up the Tourism Officer of the town and told him everything that happened. He apologized and told me that they would call their attention.
Take note that the food park is beside the Municipal Hall and the...
Read moreWhile in Anda, be sure to visit this hidden gem—Anda Food Park. Located by the beach, it offers a wide variety of food stalls serving everything from Filipino favorites to international cuisine. Whether you're craving something local or something new, it’s all here, and the al fresco setup by the sea adds to the charm.
We tried the fries at Joshdel Pinoy Streetfood, buttered shrimp at Carl’s Fried of Anda, and pork skewers at Tatam’s. Everything tasted great, and the prices were surprisingly affordable, especially considering Anda is a tourist spot. It’s a refreshing change compared to Panglao, where prices are often much higher.
The only downside is that some areas are uncovered, so rain can be an issue. Waiting times also vary depending on the stall, so it’s best to bring plenty of cash and be patient. Despite these small inconveniences, Anda Food Park is a fantastic place to eat and hang...
