Had such a good time here with my wife and 2 young kids. ||We got here at night for a couple of drinks and pizza. We’d learnt not to expect much from the speed of service at our actual hotel (not here) but were so happy we decided to come.||We got here after dark so couldn’t experience the view (which is probably epic) but despite this, and despite there being a handful of people here, with quick service, accommodating staff and rock classics in the background, this is the most vibe we’d felt so far in the Philippines.||The bar/restaurant is also on the sand so there are plenty of hermit crabs to look for and sandcastles for the kids to build.||Naturally we hadn’t brought a bucket but the accommodating staff were more than happy to bring us a plastic container that worked a treat and kept the kids entertained for hours.||Pizza was good, beers come in a frozen beer mug meaning they come out ice cold and stay cold. But to top it all off, we stayed here till around 8pm, expecting we’d be able to get a tuk tuk back to our resort…||Big mistake! There were no tuk tuks around and the owner Michael, tried a few numbers he had for us but to no avail. ||We also tried to call out resort a handful|of times to see if they could send a driver but no answer.||Not fancying our chances in the road, Michael grabbed his car keys and insisted on driving us home in the dark. Would have been 40 minute walk and true to Michael’s intuition, we saw a total of zero tuk tuks on the way.||We’re ever so thankful and if you get the chance, you should definitely check this place out (and make sure you have a taxi option in advance if it’s low season!)||I’d suggest getting there early evening so you can also take in the sunset.||Prices are also extremely reasonable for a 12” pizza (that we all loved) so I don’t agree with another comment here about pricing ||Thanks again!...

Read moreVery good and convenient location - - right on Quinale beach. Keep in mind that majority of the beaches in Bohol are rocky but a few gems are scattered round, and Quinale is one of them. It has a long stretch of white sand beach you can swim and laze around in. This area is public and is very well maintained by the locals. That being said you could be staying someplace else and simply drop by Quinale for a dip. Things to remember: when its peak low tide the water recedes so much it can reach to almost 500m (water away from the shoreline); so if you wanna swim then check out the tides first and make sure you drop by during high tide. Alternatively, you can simply laze around the powdery beach and have a drink or two from the bar or a few stalls selling refreshments, and wait for the tide to come in. ||||The property itself is like a big house converted to a B&B. Basic amenities but clean, friendly staff, a tad bit pricey (all im saying is that there are other basic lodgings around at half the price) not much bang for your buck but overall...
