I came here with a friend because a colleague of mine suggested if I liked Crispy Pata, this was the place to come. Another colleague overheard our conversation and disagreed it was the best, but also said I should go. I wasn't sure how to get there from where I was staying in Angeles City, but I checked it out on Google Maps and it was only a 20 min walk from where I was. So my friend and I wandered down the streets of Angeles City in search of Mila's. When we found the place, it seemed odd, because it seems like it's right in the middle of a residential district. When you walk in I found the layout of the place confusing, but we were shown to our table by a tall quiet fellow who communicated primarily with eye and hand gestures. I guess they didn't see too many foreigners in this part of town. Tables and chairs are your basic plastic resin patio furniture. There are several rooms, but we were ushered to what I believe to be the main dining area. There was only two other table seated when we sat down, but several more tables were seated by the time we had eaten. They do a good steady business here and it's easy to see why. We ordered the Crispy Pata and a Kalderetang Kambang (a goat stew). The food arrived surprisingly fast. The Crispy Pata was good, but a bit dry for my liking, but the goat was amazing! A bit spicy and a bit... I don't know what the flavours were but it was so tasty. This is not a fancy place. The servers are not friendly, but they are polite. It is a place for the locals who know good food at affordable prices. The servings were large, we had to take ours home with us because we couldn't finish. I'm already thinking about going back.

•ambiance- they have al fresco and air-conditioned room. Neat and looks clean. Not that comfortable due to wooden seats yet the size of the space is just right. It was not crowded when we went there around 9:30am •service- fast and attentive. All of our orders were served in around 10mins or even less •overall food- having been to aling lucing which is known for their sisig, I didn’t keep my expectations high. We were surprised ‘cause the taste and quality are far from the previous ones we had. •The leaves in the paco salad were fresh and crunchy. They mixed the right amount of greens, salted egg, tomatoes, and onion. The vinegar dressing is on the side so you have control on the amount you’d want to put in your salad. •Sizzling sisig- i suggest not to mix it as soon as it’s served to add more crunch to the meat. Waaay better than sisig of aling lucing’s. Sorry for the comparison but mila’s satisfied our sisig cravings. It was not as crunchy as I want it to be but good enough. Taste is good as well. We just requested for kalamansi and sili to add some more kick to its taste. •Tokwat baboy is yum as well. The tokwa is separated from the pork with sauce so its crispiness is retained. The sauce also has few slices of celery which contributed to its distinct taste. •Tocino bbq- as the nature of tocino is sweet, we were expecting that it’s going to be too sweet since bbq is suppose to be that as well. They balanced out the taste with a bit of saltiness and a bit of charred meat which perfectly satisfied our kids’ cravings. •Location- parking space is limited •value for money- 👍👍👍 •Overall- ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ worth going back to

Updated review: we were ordering pasalubong as we're coming home from Clark and had to stop at Mila's, like always. Our bill totalled PHP 3,675 for 5 orders of Tokwa't Baboy, 5 orders of Pako Salad, and 5 orders of Beef Kaldereta. Much to my dismay, as soon as I stepped into the air-conditioned restaurant, I was asked how many of us will eat. I asked for the menu and mentioned I'd like to buy food for takeout. Upon hearing this, the staff took the menu from me and asked me and my daughter to step out of the restaurant to the takeout store out front. This store is facing the street, where cars are parked, and dust and smoke abound. It was raining and there was a garbage truck nearby. To be fair, there's al fresco table and chairs inside the gated wall, but this is such bad service to order someone out of your restaurant especially a customer that's buying that much (it will take time to prep all our orders), just because we need ours to-go. The restaurant wasn't full, there were so many available tables and chairs. As we were waiting outside, about 3 groups of customers left. The girl out front was a lot more gracious and friendly, kudos to her. At this point, do we still recommend this place? No. Here's my old review with 3 stars: We've never had Tokwa't Baboy this good but besides that there's not much to rave about. Recommended from their menu: Tokwa't Baboy, Pako Salad, Sizzling Sisig Upside: air-conditioned dining area is cold (my kind of cold) and there's al fresco dining. Good value for money. Downside: it's a house converted to a restaurant, don't expect much. That would've had it's own charm but the girl at the take out window up front was disappointing. She's dismissive, checked out, and gave us a pack of Chicaron that had holes in its plastic. From mice chewing on them? We don't know. Do not buy those knick knacks. There are other better pasalubong places. Do we recommend the place: Yes, for their Tokwa't Baboy and Pako Salad Are we going back? Maybe as a pasalubong pitstop or to try other items on the menu

Had the Chicharong Bulaklak, Tokwa't Baboy, Sisig, Tocino BBQ, Chop Suey, and the Dinuguan. All the dishes tasted quite good, mouth-watering to be exact. If I have to pick the one that really got my tongue rolling in utmost satisfaction, it would be the C. Bulaklak. It was so good that we ended up ordering another serving. My least favorite would be the Dinuguan, but only because I prefer the chunkier, less watery kind of cooking. It still tasted good, though. The only annoying thing in this place were the flies. Big ones. We were in the air-conditioned section. Imagine eating in the outside areas (I believe there was an open air section that was closed off because there weren't too many customers). I think that was the only downside. Other than that, food was prepared and served quickly. No long waiting time. The restaurant was a quarter full at that time. There were lots of tables (4-person) in the section we were in, probably a couple dozen. Nothing fancy, but the food was superb.

This little hole in the wall carinderia appears to be known as quite the place. When we got there for lunch there were a lot of cars parked outside despite this place looking like your above average carinderia. Great food! Paco salad and Tenga were great. The sauces that came with it really made it Sisigme was just ok but that's only because I'm a little partial to sisig with butter or margarine. Flavors though we're good. The star for me was the tokwat baboy! It was so good! Crunchy tofu with the baboy but not too much of the fat and the sauce make this my favorite Tokwat Baboy. Servings were pretty big too and value for money was pretty good. We spent around 940 for the two of us but we ended up ordering enough for two meals and that already included some takeaway chicharon as pasalubong. And yes they have an aircon area. With the heat now I think is a necessity. If you haven't eater here make sure you do when you find yourself in the area. :)

Mila's Tokwa't Baboy in Pampanga is a must-visit restaurant for those who crave authentic Filipino cuisine. The restaurant's specialty is its signature tokwa't baboy dish, but unfortunately, we weren’t able to try it. Make sure you do when you pay a visit! The atmosphere of the restaurant is cozy and welcoming, with traditional Filipino decor that adds to the dining experience. The staff are friendly and attentive, making sure that guests are satisfied with their meals. Aside from the tokwa't baboy, Mila's also offers other Filipino dishes such as sisig, fried chicken, sinigang, etc. The prices are very reasonable, making it a great option for budget-conscious travelers. Overall, Mila's Tokwa't Baboy is a must-visit restaurant for anyone looking to experience the rich flavors of Filipino cuisine in an authentic setting.
