Oasis Pub — Restaurant in Angeles

Every time the music has been horrible, and all the other guests (99.9% filipino citizens) are talking lowly and artificially casual and formal, not one single person appear to have fun. After a while you just cannot go on pretending youre enjoying, its hard to admit that youre on vacation and bored to death but this place is bad enough to force you out of the denial.

Decoration is nice, will give you 5 minutes that are remotely interesting, but the great thing about this bar is that you know you hit rock bottom and things can only get better for you after leaving. And talking about leaving, when you see people smiling when leaving Oasis Pub its not because they enjoyed but because they are happy its over.

Consuming alcohol without having fun is terrible, my recommendation is to buy a softdrink, sit down and think hard "do i really want to stay here or go outside the Oasis complex". Read other reviews to see what i mean, "cozy, nice place to relax, laid back" are some of the words used and are just fancy...

Great live music and ambiance... however, be prepared for surprises with crazy overpriced items. I was definitely surprised to be charged 300 PHP ($6.00) for two mini bowls of basic peanuts with my two beers, which pretty much anywhere else would be complimentary as long as you're ordering drinks. When I talked with the staff and informed them that I wouldn't have even asked for a few peanuts with my drink had I known they would charge more for the nuts than the drink itself, they just argued with me and waved it off as completely normal. (In the supermarket down the street, a full bag of nuts might be 30-50 PHP.) The fact that the staff immediately argued with me instead of hearing me out and trying to keep a paying customer turned me off to the whole place. If you go, just bring you're own nuts and save money for several extra drinks. In the end: 2 drinks for 180PHP/ 2 mini bowls of bar peanuts...

We started out near the pool. Drinks were very affordable, service by the pool was top-notch and the setting was absolutely gorgeous. We moved into the pub when it started getting dark, before supper, and were treated to world-class service there. Absolutely cool decor with very affordable prices.
