When we ordered we were advised food will be served in 15 minutes. 15 minutes had passed no food was served. Only a few tables were occupied then. Then came more diners. After a long while came the pizza. We started eating and had 3 slices left yet the 3 pasta we ordered still were not served. We followed up with waiter. Was told apologetically that it is being per batch of order as they only have 1 chef! 1 chef! After a long while came 1 order of pasta. Then saw that those who came after us were served pizza then pasta on two separate tables that came after us. We followed up with the manager who seemed clueless why the order were not served together and where the other orders where at! Asked out why those came after us were first served than us! Can't explain! Asked why they only have 1 chef cooking in the kitchen. No he said they have 2. Only 2 chef during lunch time!? But they have 5 or 6 servers! So I thought how on earth would Chibo Bacolod have only 2 cooks?! It must be just a franchise! No it is not! 2nd and 3rd Pasta came one after the other and only after demanding that they be served pronto! Or else we walk out! ... So pasta was not al dente at all, almost half cooked! Been to Chibo in Glorietta, nothing like this! You would think that because we raised hell cooking was rushed! Eh paano only 2 cooks doing the cooking!?! One was even just assigned to prepare pizza! Margarita Fores hiring only 2 cooks in Bacolod is a disservice to its customers in Negros! What a shame! Yes accepted the FOC pizza and desserts offered by the manager because why not?! They inconvenienced us with poor service from the kitchen and badly cooked pasta! Chibo in Bacolod is not worth the money you pay for a restaurant pretending to serve authentic Itallian dishes. Margarita Fores should be ashamed of her branch in Bacolod! Mas okay pa kumain ng pasta sa Pan y Vino noon along Lacson kaso...

Finally a true Italian restaurant in Bacolod. In the heart of Ayala mall you can't miss it. Surely you are not in Italy in one of those ristorante nevertheless all you reminds you of the Italian hospitality. Start with the way the waiters are welcoming you: warmly, joyfully! And not fake! The de Cecco pasta as a decoration is very original. Then menu with a wide Italian choice of meals. Maybe you need to wait after you order but that is the guarantee your meal is prepared just for you. The presentation is also particularly nice. Of course, then you have the proof through a delicious dish with the genuine ingredient. Service is very attentive and sympathetic. It's important not to forget those who are behind in the kitchen. Compliment to the chef and its team. The price? Authenticity and taste has a value, be ready to pay for it Buon appettito. Grazie...

Weak, food was edible but not outstanding. Salad was good, however clumps of pesto made some bites quite unpleasant. "Seafood" was close to non-existent with just a few shrimp & squid rings. Pizza looked good but a bit more time in the oven to meld the toppings & finish the crust would have been better. The crust itself had a good taste & chew to it. Low quality ingredients did however show. Finally the tiramisu was FROZEN, all but the edges, presentation was nice but a ZERO when I had to saw through it to get a bite. I told the wait staff... no action taken. I will add that the hot oil served was good but the outside of the container had so much oil I had to use my napkin to pick up the bottle & have a nice stain on my linen pants...

So, I walked into Cibo for the first time with this ice cream shop image in my head because of the name. Turns out, it's this amazing Italian place that I've seen around Manila a lot. It's funny how first impressions can be deceiving, right? The food was like a fancy Italian party in my mouth. Pasta that good? Who knew? The staff were like food wizards, guiding me like they read my mind. And guess what? The food has this Italian-Filipino twist that's seriously amazing. Even though I walked in thinking ice cream, I'm definitely going back for another round of this food magic at Cibo!
