Kuya J - SM City Bacoor — Restaurant in Bacoor

Kuya J is a bit disappointing. They have a combination of good and bad food, but their best-sellers are fail.

Their Crispy Pata is so gamy and looks and smells like it was cooked in century-old used oil. Their Whole Fried Chicken also look and smelled like it was cooked on the same fryer, the chicken is also not fresh, dry and tasteless.

Beef Caldereta though tasty is sooo gamy.

Crispy Pinakbet is a great, wish they serve it with more dip. Kare-kare is great too. Chopsuey is ordinary as well as their Chicken Skin. I can’t describe their Sotanghon though and can’t decide whether I like it ir not. Leche Flan is nice, this one should be easy.

Overall, it feels that their dishes are not fresh or that they have no standard quality for their dishes.

Regarding their service, it’s ordinary and nothing special, and we waited to be seated on their table at the back, we were seated instead on a conjoined table. We were supposedly celebrating my wife’s birthday that’s why we chose to wait for that specific table, but they chose to be the boss and seated us wherever they wanted us to.

noone is there to assist us when we enter so we sit ourselves.. ordered crispy pata which is superb best dish so far. chicken skin is also good w/ the dipping.. they served it first while waiting for the food to arrive.. the veggies is bland and the pancit is overcooked the noodles already is sticking together.. customer service is great staffs are attentive.. it would be better is someone is at the front to assist incoming customers as evryone entering is confuse as where they can be sitted.. once sitted they will provide menu w/ paper where u will write ur own order haha.. overall experience is good clean place as well as the cr.. btw they do take aways infront of u so u know its clean and nothing will be...

Gave it multiple chances as I really like the halo-halo but unfortunately, everytime, the service is just not there. First time I went with my husband, two of what looks like trainees just stood there and stared at us without offering the menu or some water. Second time was with my brother. They sat us down but it seemed like they forgot we were there. No menus, no water... nothing.. Third and probably last was with my mom and my 2 years old daughter.
