I had a disappointing experience at SM Bacoor branch on Sunday, December 22, 2024, around 10 AM. As a loyal Starbucks customer, Iāve always enjoyed the process of completing my stickers for the yearly Starbucks Tradition tumbler, and I was really looking forward to claiming it that day. However, my experience with one of the baristas left me feeling upset and disheartened.
Upon ordering, I was excited to collect my tumbler, but the barista was not particularly friendly. After receiving my receipt, he directed me to wait at the next counter without informing me how many stickers I had earned. I had to ask him how many stickers I had, and only then did he tell me I had 19 stickers. I was surprised, as he didnāt check if I was ready to claim my Starbucks Tradition tumbler or ask me about my preference.
When I asked if I could claim it, I was told that the tumbler I wanted ā the turquoise design ā was out of stock and to try another branch. It was frustrating that he didnāt let me know about the availability of the tumbler beforehand. I also felt he could have been more polite in explaining that I had already completed enough stickers for the tumbler, and that some designs were out of stock.
Even though some of the Starbucks Traditions were unavailable, I felt that the barista's response was unprofessional and lacked the warmth and customer care that Iāve always appreciated from Starbucks. As someone who has been a loyal customer for years and recently gave birth, I had been looking forward to this small treat.
While I understand that things like stock availability can happen, I believe the interaction could have been handled in a more considerate way, with clearer communication and a more friendly approach.
After I expressed my concerns to the store manager, she assured me that she would speak with Rick, the barista involved, about the situation.
A few minutes later, Rick approached our table and sincerely apologized for his earlier behavior. I truly appreciated his apology, and I want to let you know that I have forgiven him. I understand that sometimes mistakes happen, and I am hopeful that this kind of experience will not occur again...

We have observed how he dealt with everyone as we have to wait for our drinks for 25 minutes!!!! I called them and said we have been waiting for 25 minutes and said that the drinks ākanina pa yan nanjanā I answered him we did not hear my name called out and just said āokayā in a condenscending tone. Very uoset and disaapointed. Talk to another manager and promised to give us fresh drinks but never did....

They served 3 customers na before they started my drink! Also, my brother ordered a drink when he arrived and he said it was to-go because we were leaving, they still served it for here and were pretty rude when handing it because he asked if the SHC on the counter was for me. Over all that was such a lame customer service from a brand who takes pride in...
