It's been a long time since I've been to Baguio and Pine Country was one of the top and first restaurants that I saw and boy, did it live up to expectations.
Parking was relatively easy because there wasn't a lot of people as we got there after dinner. I would take precaution if there were a lot of people parked as the parking layout is complicated to say the least.
As I try to remember, we ordered Combo 3, JR's Combo, Pasta Carbonara and the Porterhouse steak. All of them were amazing. I want to point out how fresh, juicy and flavorful the fried chicken was. Think Pancake House fried chicken but fresher and better.
The spaghetti with my chicken was very meaty and yummy but the waffle could've been more toasted.
The carbonara used cream so while it isn't authentic, I'd still say the pasta wasn't umay fest and still braced the heavy expectation.
The steak was grilled and could be charred more but at their price point, who am I to complain?
At the level of service I've experienced with the portion and flavor of the food, I can say that money was spent wisely and I would love to go back there while enjoying the Baguio climate.

Read moreI had the hickory glazed ribs. The meat literally fell off the bone, probably the best ribs I've had in the Philippines so far. Homemade fries were also very good. My girlfriend loved them so much she got an extra portion to go. She also had the T-Bone steak, medium rare. The cuison was correct which surprised me as steak in the Philippines has left me disappointed more often than not. Especially for the price this was a very enjoyable experience. Portion sizes were good and the water was complimentary. The waffles were surprisingly big, I ended up not being able to finish then.
Service was also very good, very friendly people. We had a wonky table which the waitress noticed because before I could ask her for something to fix it she was already at our table helping us out.
The place is easy to find and there's plenty of parking space so no need to worry about that. They seem to close rather early though so get there in time if you're...
Read moreI'm not particularly fond of their food but the garden view is fantastic. There is also both indoor and outdoor sitting. From the outside, you may choose to have a view of the garden or the busy road. The place is very accessible and is located just across the Botanical Garden. They do serve good steaks and waffles as it is their specialty but other than that... I guess it depends on personal tastes. In any case, it is a good alternative dining place when you get tired visiting the nearby tourist attractions. Wright Park is just a walking distance from the restaurant or even Mansion House. However, sometimes the the foul smell from the nearby pine forested area could ruin one's appetite. Another irritation to diners would be the noise from the constant digging of a particular spot in the center of the road just in front of the...
