The place experience we had was just amazing. This lodge was highly recommended by a friend of mine when i told him that my partner and i were planning to spend the weekend at Baguio City, to celebrate a friend's birthday. We looked online and saw the good reviews but we were unable to see an option for us to book in their website (we always do direct booking). We called the number on their website and from the first contact we had with their staff, we were really impressed. They knew what they were talking about and they were very courteous. They asked us to book thru agoda and we did. We took the early morning bus to baguio and arrived at around 8 am. From the time we arrived, they accomodated us immediately and assisted us with our luggage. They were very welcoming and everyone had big smiles on. You could really feel the warmth and sincerity in their welcome. The room was huge for the 3 of us and everything was just perfect. We also took advantage of the 179 PHP breakfast buffet that they offered and we were amazed by the food selection. We also orded in for dinner and for the price, it was really worthit as the servings were good for 5 and the taste was just delish!!! P.S. the view from this lodge is just TO DIE FOR!!!!

“Can’t ignore the elephant in the room” - you will understand what I mean if you ever visit this place. The reason why I give it one star is because of the SIMPLE things that are missing. The rooms are okay, it’s an old school vibe. Wooden foundations are in the room which give that nice vibe. But why don’t you have nets in front of windows? So you can enjoy the cold air of Baguio without being sucked dry by mosquitoes? Because there is no AirCon, so at least let the guests be able to open the windows. Hotel has a great location and is close to some important places, such as SM Baguio. Breakfast is really a disappointment. Bread is old, if you don’t toast it, it is not edible. There is just butter and strawberry jam for your bread. No cheese, no peanut butter, or anything else for that matter. Other things are hot meals, but my Filipina wife didn’t like that either. Fried Chicken and pork in the morning are not everyone’s cup of tea. The omelet is nice though. Oh and they don’t have cold drinks, they do not have ice when you ask for it. My Coke Zero got served in a can, without glass, and warm. The service from the staff: they are kind and friendly.

I love that it's far away from the city but not far enough to be able to enjoy what the city can offer. It's only a few walks away from the botanical garden and other restaurants. The room is a delight – spacious, well-maintained, clean, and cozy. The thoughtful addition of cabinets and drawers proved useful, especially for those with plenty of belongings. The outdoor ambiance is enchanting. We weren't able to purchase the bonfire (350 for 3 hrs) but I think a group before us did, when we came outside they were gone but there was still some fire left so we stood there for a few minutes. It's a very memorable experience, chill cold evening air, warmth from the fire, the sound of fire crackling, and the faint sound from the live band at the bar. It's such a relaxing experience. Will avail the bonfire next time. Additionally, worth mentioning that the WiFi speed was not as fast. Din't really have an impact on my stay but for those who are planning to work. This might not be for you or bring a pocket wifi.

I visited Safari Lodge in Oct 2018 and returned to to the Lodge in Baguio last November...and things have only gotten even better. Here are my reasons for my very positive review?||||GREAT LOCATION: Wooded Location - Like most people, I chose Safari Lodge because it is away from the hustle bustle of the downtown area. That said, the ever busy Sessions Road is less than a 10 minute taxi ride away. In the immediate area of the Lodge many new, upscale restaurants have popped up over the last year. A new (small) mall is less than 2 minutes walk from the lodge with upscale dining. The Botanical Garden is just across the street and its a great place for solitude and admiring nature...and get a little people watching in as well.||||VALUE FOR MONEY: Room I stayed in was clean, very spacious, priced right and could easily handle 4 adults without congestion. This is SUCH a breath of fresh air to have the generous sized rooms complete with old world charm. My room also had a Jacuzzi which added a festive note to our family vacation. Sheets/linen very nice. Breakfast was included in my plan and that made for a very convenient start to the day. Breakfast improved over last year and they even have an "egg station" and will cook your breakfast eggs to order.||||KIND AND HELPFUL STAFF: Staff had ready answers and good advice on where to hike, shop and sight-see. They know about seasonal events such as CHRISTMAS VILLAGE. Always helpful..always very polished in their interactions with me.||||Looks like a family picnic area is under construction on the Lodge grounds. Having that pavilion will give a family picnic an air of outdoor camping if you decide to avail. Be aware that a couple rooms might have the sounds of the live music wafting by till near midnight. There are a few stuffed animals mounted in the dining room reminiscent of a bygone "Safari" era. I'm fine with that but others might not be.||||Plenty of parking too. Safari Lodge is an easy choice for me and yes, I will return and would recommend it...

Recommended only for local/Filipino people as there standards are quite low. Best feature: good and reasonably priced restaurant with ample breakfast which has an egg station and brewed coffee (not always available in Filipino hotels) but most of the food is cold probably from when they first put it out at 7 am ... eating at 8 or later is all cold food except coffee and toast. The rooms are adequate on the whole except for the ridiculous TVs (old LED with no HD and HDMI connection doesn't work) and a terrible Sky Digibox service with few viewable stations ALL in SD and with the box mounted high on the wall, you have to be pointing the remote upwards ... no instructions provided all causing a lot of confusion and frustration in getting the box to respond. A miserable failure in providing TV service (except for many Tagalog channels, still all in SD).||Only 1 room key is provided which MUST be placed in the slot to get the room lights to work ... makes life complicated for 2+ occupants. Rooms are clean but small / cramped shower/toilet room. Supplied with a small fridge, kettle, 2 mugs and 2 small bottles of water daily. Water also available from a dispenser by the front desk. Internet is good. Value is actually very good for the price paid except for terrible TV situation.||Location is not actually convenient to anything except to the Botanical Gardens and a few restaurants ... also good if you like to be away from the craziness in town. Building is weird and very dated with large African animals mounted or stuffed throughout the main building ... certainly doesn't look very upgraded at all but perhaps it is all a work in progress. Staff are...
