I visited Safari Lodge in Oct 2018 and returned to to the Lodge in Baguio last November...and things have only gotten even better. Here are my reasons for my very positive review?||||GREAT LOCATION: Wooded Location - Like most people, I chose Safari Lodge because it is away from the hustle bustle of the downtown area. That said, the ever busy Sessions Road is less than a 10 minute taxi ride away. In the immediate area of the Lodge many new, upscale restaurants have popped up over the last year. A new (small) mall is less than 2 minutes walk from the lodge with upscale dining. The Botanical Garden is just across the street and its a great place for solitude and admiring nature...and get a little people watching in as well.||||VALUE FOR MONEY: Room I stayed in was clean, very spacious, priced right and could easily handle 4 adults without congestion. This is SUCH a breath of fresh air to have the generous sized rooms complete with old world charm. My room also had a Jacuzzi which added a festive note to our family vacation. Sheets/linen very nice. Breakfast was included in my plan and that made for a very convenient start to the day. Breakfast improved over last year and they even have an "egg station" and will cook your breakfast eggs to order.||||KIND AND HELPFUL STAFF: Staff had ready answers and good advice on where to hike, shop and sight-see. They know about seasonal events such as CHRISTMAS VILLAGE. Always helpful..always very polished in their interactions with me.||||Looks like a family picnic area is under construction on the Lodge grounds. Having that pavilion will give a family picnic an air of outdoor camping if you decide to avail. Be aware that a couple rooms might have the sounds of the live music wafting by till near midnight. There are a few stuffed animals mounted in the dining room reminiscent of a bygone "Safari" era. I'm fine with that but others might not be.||||Plenty of parking too. Safari Lodge is an easy choice for me and yes, I will return and would recommend it...

Read moreRecommended only for local/Filipino people as there standards are quite low. Best feature: good and reasonably priced restaurant with ample breakfast which has an egg station and brewed coffee (not always available in Filipino hotels) but most of the food is cold probably from when they first put it out at 7 am ... eating at 8 or later is all cold food except coffee and toast. The rooms are adequate on the whole except for the ridiculous TVs (old LED with no HD and HDMI connection doesn't work) and a terrible Sky Digibox service with few viewable stations ALL in SD and with the box mounted high on the wall, you have to be pointing the remote upwards ... no instructions provided all causing a lot of confusion and frustration in getting the box to respond. A miserable failure in providing TV service (except for many Tagalog channels, still all in SD).||Only 1 room key is provided which MUST be placed in the slot to get the room lights to work ... makes life complicated for 2+ occupants. Rooms are clean but small / cramped shower/toilet room. Supplied with a small fridge, kettle, 2 mugs and 2 small bottles of water daily. Water also available from a dispenser by the front desk. Internet is good. Value is actually very good for the price paid except for terrible TV situation.||Location is not actually convenient to anything except to the Botanical Gardens and a few restaurants ... also good if you like to be away from the craziness in town. Building is weird and very dated with large African animals mounted or stuffed throughout the main building ... certainly doesn't look very upgraded at all but perhaps it is all a work in progress. Staff are...
