We were the first to reserve for Valentines day but we were the last one to be served. We arrived 30 minutes before our 7pm slot so we decided to check other spots in the restaurant. By 7am, we were excited and ready for our meal but the guests in the first seating are so inconsiderate they clearly do not know how to follow the allotted time. We are regular customers of forest house and learning the unfortunate fate of the restaurant caused by the pandemic, we visit the restaurant from time to time to help make it afloat.
We did not want to creat commotion over food and in this kind of occasion so we told their staff that the guests in our reserved seats needed to leave immediately so we can start with our meals. We were offered a different spot in the garden but we refused and insisted occupy the seats we reserved months ahead of this occasion.
By 720, the guests were finally told to transfer to another table and we were already able to seat by 730. Learned that guy got mad when they were asked to transfer to another spot and didn’t even have the balls to apologize to us. He clearly doesn’t know how to respect others and needs to be properly educated to proper restaurant etiquette and demeanor.
Our first meal was served 45mins late and the sauce of our steak was as cold as ice. We didn’t bother to complain as we were as so hungry at that time, caused by the inconsiderate guests. The owners were so apologetic and sent us food from their private kitchen but that wasn’t enough to appease me. We didn’t finish our food since it was already past 830 then they served our steak and I still have to leave Baguio for a business trip. The restaurant management also needs to remind their guests of strictly follow their allotted time next time.
Not sure if we will still go back to celebrate special occasions and fulfill our random cravings next time. I am so...
Read moreI wanted to visit this place during my Baguio visit in mid March 2021. I called the place to make a reservationĺ and was told a 48 hour notice was needed. The lady on the phone (Fiona i think) still took our reservation for lunch on a Thursday, which I appreciated. However, things got odd when I got an SMS from Ana who asked me to pay a 50% downpayment for our advance order. The downpayment was to be paid via Gcash to the account of owner Racquel Versoza. Such requirement is quite strange for any restaurant, even given the prevailing conditions because of the pandemic. Having customers reserve seats in advance is fine but asking a 50% downpayment for advance order is quite unorthodox and frankly scammish given the mode of payment being asked. I am not sure if this was a lapse on Ana's part, who explained to me that they need to secure payment for our food to be prepared, or if this was an actual policy of the establishment. If the latter, the restaurant should inform customers upfront on their page or website so as not to create suspicion, which was the impression left to me. I ended up canceling the reservation and opted to dine...

Halo Halo Bilo bilo Okoy Carbonara Hainanese Chicken Rice
All the food we ordered was great except for the Hainanese Chicken Rice. It's not authentic especially the rice. The chicken should have been cut into slices.
It feels like you're paying more for the food than what it's worth.
We didn't order any main course.
LOCATION: It's a house converted to a transient house and restaurant.
You will need to use Google Maps to navigate to this place if you're new.
The atmosphere gives a mix of rustic and modern vibe. The entrance to the restaurant is on the right after you enter the gate.
There's no parking except for street parking.
They offer transient service as well and the manager is welcoming and kind enough to show us the rooms. The rooms were beautifuland the bathroom is huge.
SERVICE The service crew were attentive and accommodating. They were great.
They have different modes of payment if you do not have cash with you so...
