Johanna's Grille — Restaurant in Batangas City

Food was great but on how they handled our order was terrible. We ordered the following: seafood paella whole fried chicken Baby back ribs salmon belly sinigang

I'm a muslim so I don't eat pork. My friends aren't that's why we ordered their famous baby back ribs. I asked the waiter if the paella has pork and she said no it's all seafood. So I asked her again if there's any ingredient that might have pork but she insisted it's all seafood so we proceeded to order the paella.

We waited I think 40 to 50 mins to get our order and just to realize that the paella has chorizo, so I asked the waiter again if it's a chorizo. She said yes, and asked her again if the chorizo has pork, and she said yes. I just ordered a plain rice and told my friends that it's okay. Then my friends complained that the paella is half cooked, so we raised the issue to the waiter and she offered us a replacement, this time we asked her to exclude the chorizo. All those hassle but we haven't received any apology from them?! AFAIK the owner was there too.

Good food but I think you should train your staff how to handle these...

A quaint place to have brunch with a lot of people. They serve one of the best baby back ribs in Batangas City. Can be a bit hot when afternoon arrives.

Their ribs is excellent! Good quality service. Better visit at night for a nice ambience. Not a really good place to visit when the weather is bad due to the place is an open area. But if you are looking for a place to eat dinner and the weather is good then this is the place for you.
