Bay City Mall — Local services in Batangas City

It’s not the same spacious building you can enjoy. It’s a bazaar cramped in a small space with multiple floors.

For clarity: Bay City Mall is both a Shopping Mall and Grocery Mall.

With that in mind, the place has become more of a Mall, but more of a “Grocery Mall, ft. Regular Shopping Mall Stuff”. There are three entrances and exits to the building(aside from the basement), one is through the National Bookstore, which faces the Highway I usually take. It’s not a problem, but it sure is awkward to waltz in the bookstore to just walk straight past it to go in the mall itself. The second one is through the Grocery Outlet. It’s not spacious, it’s also awkward as you have to take the steps so if have heavy groceries and there’s no helper, good luck. And finally, the “main” entrance where you are supposed to be greeted with a spacious area with stalls and such, but now it’s cramped. Not with so many stalls and people mind you, but with the grocery aisle, in the middle of the floor, eating almost the entire floor leaving only a small pathway where you can go around to walk around the building to go up. The upper floors were, although in a better state is still subpar.

Before I enter bay city mall, I used to observe those guards whose on duty. I know for a fact that those guards are still a human who can feel tiredness and dizziness. But I just observed that if someone is either beautiful or good looking they can enter that mall without even inspecting their bags or whatsoever. It is biased for us commoners. Also, if you are carrying a hand bag like eco bag which is filled with different things they will just put and point their stick on your and it is done, your things had been scanned within a few seconds. Honestly traumatized. This rating was written on the day of October 14, 2025. I lost my wallet in the mall today and approached a security guard as one would, to ask for help. I was both rudely ignored and dismissed. I asked kindly if I could perhaps view the cctv since we looked everywhere we went prior to asking, all I go was "mahirap yan", "anong gagawin namin?".
