Kenny Rogers Roasters - SM City Batangas — Restaurant in Batangas City

We had our lunch in this restaurant. We ordered a Classic Solo Meal and their new Shawarma Rice Bowl? I forgot the exact name. We were first served with the Classic Solo Meal, pending the Shawarma Rice Bowl. The serving was good and fast however, 20 minutes later and still no Shawarma Rice Bowl. Before anything else, we are bot adviced that the order will take some time, thus the disappointment. I went to the ‘receive order’ counter but the crew were busy, so I just stand there to wait to be acknowledged. After 10 minutes, no acknowledgement whatsoever, my wife approached me and ask what happened. I told her that I was still not acknowledged, so insisted to ask the manager? (I’m not sure if that’s the manager.) I told her to return to our seat. Our 3 years old was left there. I ask a dine staff for a follow up. The food was not even in preparation, I heard the store manager saying to a staff, (‘pina acknowledge ko ito kanina’ and ‘sinabi ko ito sa iyo kanina’ [non verbatim]). After hearing that I just decided to cancel the order.

We love Kenny’s, and this experience will not affect our future dine with them. This review reflects only this experience.

For all future customers, if no advice were given by the cashier regarding delayed serving of food, ask immediately upon receive of the first order. They may have forgot to prepare your order or has something in between....

We ordered food and was served to us by batch with interval of appx 5 to 10 minutes. The last batch which is suppost to be the four cheese roasted chicken, became grilled chicken. Side dishes changed during serving because its not available anymore. Since we are waiting for more than 1 hr already, we just ate what they served. The food quality is not the same and later found out that the food that is meant for us was served to other table(over heard from the table next to us that they have 2 extra meal that they did not order, shame to them since they just accepted and eat it knowing that is not meant for them) . That maybe the reason why it took time and quality is less. No apologies received. Teary eyed during that time, not because of the food but the smoke due to grilling. The whole area is filled with smoke (not that thick but not suppost to be like that). We are a fan of kenny rogers but will not come back to kenny rogers sm batangas city...

I used to go to ANY Kenny Rogers Roasters branch just for their corn muffins! Though not my favorite anymore (I think they might have changed their recipe!), I still appreciate their menu, especially their oven roasted chicken and their choices of side dishes.

Service is top-notch with snappy service crews and friendly...
