Their "drive thru" is not really a drive thru like in other Mc Donald's where you can get your food at the last window almost immediately. With this one, as soon as you reach the last window they will ask you to PARK IMMEDIATELY close to the exit of the drive thru, regardless if there's a car next to you or not. Then it will take them 5 minutes to up to 20 minutes to serve your food. I have experienced 2x when I had to step out of the car to follow up on my order, and on those times, there were about 4-5 cars piling up at the queue. There was also a time when there's no other car going in to the drive thru but mine and they ask me to move forward again and I ask them why. The staff said IT'S THEIR SOP TO TELL THE DRIVERS TO MOVE FORWARD and told them that's not how drive thru works. Perhaps their is a camera that measures the timeliness of the cars going in and out of the Drive Thru which is why their goal is to KEEP THE LAST WINDOW CLEAR AND MAKE YOU WAIT ELSEWHERE. McDonalds drive thru supposed to serve your take out at the last window. No exception.
Another note on inconvenience cause by this branch, when you order big burgers that usually served in a box for dine-in (e.g. double cheeseburger deluxe, big mac, etc) these are usually served with in a paper wrapper for the Drive Thru customers in other McDonald's drive thru. The logic is, Drive Thru customers can spare only 1 hand to eat, while the other hand is driving. It is easier to hold a big burger in a wrapper rather than in paper box where ingredients slips out of the burger when using just one hand. In this drive thru, BIG BURGERS ARE NOT WRAPPED SO YOU HAVE TO USE BOTH HANDS TO EAT IT WHILE DRIVING. This is a problem I encountered 2x and encountered only from this branch, not in other branches. I had to wait for an opportunity to stop at a red light to be able to bite my burger. In the end, I have to finish my food when I arrived at a parking area in Gateway Mall. So I drove from Malabon to Cubao which takes 45 minutes but yet I couldn't finish this one burger just because I cannot use both hands.
I have ordered many times in their drive thru because it's on my way to work, and have PROVIDED THEM FEEDBACK BUT THEY NEVER IMPROVED. You can get some cocky response from the staff and when you don't, they just turn their backs on you, the more that I don't move my car.
The Burger King drive thru in this area has better, courteous, and fast drive thru service than this Mc Donald's.
McDonalds with better drive thru: Mc Donald's in Caloocan EDSA (near Starbucks EDSA), McDonalds Del Monte avenue corner D. Tuazon avenue, McDonalds in Greenbelt 2, McDonalds in SLEX and NLEX of course,...
Read moreThe rice was not well cooked, its hard, the paper plastics are oily, and the thing that irritates me most are the crews and counter staffs, aside from they let us wait for almost 20mins, we received our orders incomplete. The 3 extra rice are missing, its 30php each, its no joke for us who are just a students, we waited like for another 10 mins maybe because they just forgot about it, but no. When my friends got there in the cashier area, they told about the extra rice and the three staffs lookrd at each other and laughed. Its so unprofessional, so disrespectful and insulting. We're not actually born yesterday, and we have enough knowledge about what's...
Read moreI claimed my free meal today, 1 pc chicken with fries and drink (a promo from Metrobank). Claiming was pretty straightforward and no questions were asked. However, initially, I received a chicken and drink only. I brushed it off and took my take out because: it’s just for free and it’s lesser calories hence lesser guilt
But then as I was approaching my car, the crew called me to tell that my receipt should have had fries, then gave me my fries. It was a nice gesture from them
Also, it was very noticeable that the branch is cleaner and better...
