Fly Alert!!!
With all the love I have for Bigg's Diner, this is by far the worst branch I have ever visited. The experience was utterly disappointing due to infestation of flies inside the restaurant. This made it impossible to enjoy our meal, as we had to constantly wave our hands to swat them away. The problem seems to stem from large gaps in the doors, allowing the flies easy entry. Adding to the issue is the proximity of garbage bins adjacent to the restaurant, raising serious concerns about food hygiene and the risk of bacteria contaminating the meals.
The discomfort didn't stop there. The dining area was unbearably hot, even though it wasn’t a particularly sunny day. The source of the heat was a kitchen door left open near the counter, with an electric fan blowing the heat and smoke directly into the dining area. This setup made the environment stifling and the smell of smoke nauseating and suffocating, ruining any chance of enjoying the meal.
To make matters worse, the staff was unwelcoming and rude, acting as though they didn’t want to serve us, despite our large order totaling 3,000–4,000 pesos for a big family meal. Their attitude only compounded the negative experience. The attitude and negligence shown by this restaurant doesn't justify the cost of food we spent.
As a loyal Bigg's Diner fan who appreciates the food and culture the brand represents, this branch was an utter letdown. My advice? Go to other newer branches as they for sure have better sanitation. Bigg's management at this branch has a lot of work to do to address these...
Read moreHad a disappointing experience at Biggs. The manager, Elena, seemed agitated when I entered the branch, as if my presence was a nuisance. I arrived past 10:15 PM, and they close at 11 PM. She took my order while I was hurriedly looking for my discount card and gave it last minute. She sighed loudly and whispered in a way I could still hear, saying, ‘Napunch ko na, may discount card palan.’ She kept repeating this to the cashier, which felt disrespectful. She also indirectly embarrassed her staff in front of me for punching in our orders incorrectly. She either hates her job or was having a bad day—either way, worst branch I’ve dined in.
Also: • The fries in our order were literally half of the usual serving. • The chicken seemed old. • The spaghetti was good but served cold. • No ice in the pineapple juice and iced tea (had to ask for ice in a separate glass)
PS. Biggs Gaisano is the best. Customer service...
Read moreWe came in for breakfast after mass with a host of 15-20+ people. A server took our order. All was well until my cousin pointed out how her family's food took too long to be served.while several of our other orders got mixed up. The manager, stressed and probably unaccustomed to a spike of customers on her shift, lost her cool and screamed behind the counter addressing my cousin how her family's order wasn't even recorded. I think the whole crew couldn't handle the change in routine as usually they would take orders via the counter instead of a waiter taking notes on customer orders. Still, not an excuse for a manager to animatedly lose composure. Later we asked for straws for our drinks, but were told that plastics are prohibited in this area of town. Ok fair enough. Only that when our meals were served, they came with, you guessed it, plastic spoon forks and knives....
