Balay sa Bikol was worth the drive from Legazpi. The restaurant/function hall was very close to Daraga Church and offered a homey, quiet, and laidback atmosphere for your mealtime. The service was good—servers made sure your water was filled, and they listened to our requests (we requested for Bicol Express with extra chilli). The food was worth the long wait. Don't miss their Tinungtungan na Manok (chicken) because that was the BEST we tried and it came with veggies too. A word of caution on Pork Bicol Express—they use pork fat with little lean meat, so if you're not into that, opt for a chicken version. Also, ask for a less salty option. Their fried rice was good for 4 people, and we tried Tinapa fried rice. Not as yummy as 1st Colonial Grill's, but good for the price point. Personally excluded the atmosphere shots because a lot of people reviewed for it already. If there's a chance, I will definitely return for Tinungtungan na Manok. SOLID!

My family had an amazing dining experience during our 1st time visit last June 06, 2024. Smiling, friendly, and accommodating crew welcomed us with superb service. The ambiance is full of antiquity composed of cameras, telephones, farming and hunting tools, chairs, tables, old coins from different countries, and Philippine notes. It's like a restaurant inside a museum! Their Tinutungang Manok is so delicious that I immediately tried to replicate after arriving back home to Cebu! 😁 The rest of the foods/menus that we've had are equally delicious, and we enjoyed all of it to our heart's content. What a lovely luch. The prices are all reasonable. We were able to have spacious parking since we were the 1st customers of the day. We will surely be back if we have another chance to visit Daraga, Albay 🥰 Highly recommend, everybody! ♥️

came in a bit early for lunch, already made a reservation but service still took a significant amount of time. Food was okayish to sub par. Chicharon bulaklak was not to our liking, couldve been more crispier. Pancit was underseasoned for our taste. Mixed veggies was okay. Buttered fried chicken was not good. The batter was coming off of the meat cleanly which is not pleasant but they redeemed themselves with their sizzling sisig. One of the best sisig ive tasted. Would not come back though.
