Unbelievable Burgers and More! July 2024 My girl friend and I ate dinner at the Anahaw Restaurant in July 2024 as the plant-based restaurant and bar had been recommended to us by two other people. We were very impressed and were so happy with our dinner that we ate lunch there the next day! For dinner, we each had "The Unbelievable Burger", a 100% Filipino-made plant-based patty for vegetarians. We both agreed that it literally tasted just like a grilled beef patty. That is why that meal has the name it does. The taste is not similar to the taste of a beef patty; it tasted just like a beef patty tastes. The burger, which is made in the Philippines by a Filipino company, came with all the fixings: bun, cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles as well as really good fries. If you doubt that it is possible for meatless hamburger patty to taste like a beef patty, perhaps because you have tried other meatless patties and found them wanting, eat this and you will know that such a thing really is possible! The restaurant, of course, has other items on the menu, and for dessert we shared the Biscoff Tiramisu, which was excellent. For the next day's lunch we had Falafel, Popcorn Cauliflower, and the two of us shared a four-piece "pulled pork" Quesadilla, one of the restaurant's most-ordered dishes. All three were excellent. I should note, though, that while eating the quesadilla, we could not taste the "pulled pork". It looked like pulled pork, though it had a softer texture than real pork, but its taste was masked by the cheese. When I dipped the quesadilla into the barbecue sauce, however, the food in my mouth tasted like the Southern pork barbecue that I know and love. If you have the quesadilla, ask for the barbecue sauce also. The restaurant is intentional about being eco-friendly. All the dishes are vegetarian, vegan, or both. The napkins are cloth and the straws for the drinks are glass. The restaurant operates several fans to keep its guests cool-ish. Finally, along with dinner, each of us had a BOGO drink. My girl friend had an Amaretto Sour, which was excellent. I had a Vodka and Pineapple Juice, which also was excellent. The drink's Toska vodka was made in Quezon City. Two less positive notes. First, the restaurant is inside, but is open air. We visited during the summer rainy season. Therefore, at dinner in the evening we were accompanied by a few mosquitoes. At lunch the next day, we were accompanied by a few flies - as we had experienced at other restaurants. Secondly, if you like to lean back into your chair, as I do, at various times while you eat, you could well find the backs of Ahahaw's chairs to be too low, as I did. The town of Dauin (dow -like how- in), where this restaurant is located, receives many scuba diver visitors who come to the area to see turtles and coral at nearby Apo Island. To all y'all who are planning a visit to Dauin (and Apo Island), make sure you include a visit to Anahaw as part of your itinerary. Lastly, the restaurant is part of a larger operation that includes a yoga studio (and classes) as well as Dumagat Freedive (which teaches an introductory freedive course as well as three more...

The genuine care and attention the instructors invest in each session is truly commendable. They provide individualized attention when needed, helping to refine postures and offering modifications for those with specific needs or limitations.

Having experienced numerous yoga studios, I can confidently say that Anahaw Dauin stands out as an exceptional space for self-discovery and growth. The combination of the nurturing instructors and the inviting ambiance makes every visit a rejuvenating experience. Whether you seek physical strength, mental clarity, or simply a moment of respite, this studio provides it all.

In short, Anahaw Dauin Yoga Studio is a sanctuary where one can find solace, growth, and a true sense of community. It's not just a studio; it's a haven for those on their journey to well-being and self-discovery. I wholeheartedly recommend this studio to anyone seeking a deeply enriching...

The first time i came to anahaw was because of the yoga studio, and all i can say is, it was love at first sight! the owners, teachers, the members and the ambience makes the energy of the studio so beautiful and great! I didn't try their food at first as im not a vegetarian but the 2nd time i went there for a yoga class, everyone is talking about how good the tofu sisig is. reluctant to try it at first as im not a fan of tofu but i ordered it anyway, and oh my! boy it was soooo good that it has become one of my favourite! i have probably tried most of their menu and their specials and here are some of my favourite. Oh! try their coffee and specially their affogato..it is so good i guarantee you! I love anahaw! i love how accommodating and friendly the owners and their staff are! for me anahaw feels like home, a place that lets me grow in my yoga practice and nourishes my body with their yummy healthy food. If you are around the area, come try it out!

I have visited Anahaw several times, now and am amazed at its progress! It's definitely a lifestyle go-to zone to relax, chill, and have fun. It's got yoga, great vegan food, and it definitely has great cocktails! Vegan options are perfect, and Plus points on the free choice to choose between oat milk or cow's milk for no additional cost. Anahaw is definitely perfect! Ill recommend it to my friends, as its definitely the perfect place to chill after a good dive. Lucky for us, they're just a short walk away from dauins beautiful beaches! Edit: We tasted their Amaretto Sour today. It was delicious. Staff are consistently kind and friendly; and will go out of their way to make you feel at home. (Tip: Get yourself a steal on their afternoon drinks, because happy hour gets you a buy one, get one free!) Anahaw is now my most favourite place to go to in Dauin!
