My partner and I came here for dinner during our stay in Davao. We were looking for somewhere to eat high quality, tasty Japanese food. Akiko is an unassuming looking place from the outside but dont let that deter you. This place is incredible and I would recommend it highly.
As we entered the restaurant, we were greeted warmly by both staff and diners and escorted to a table. There is a large selection of food on offer. We ordered the Kakiage Udon (hot), okonomiyaki, vegetable tempura, sushi and drinks.
The food was indescribably delicious. We were both blown away. A kindly elderly gentleman also came over to recommend some spices to add to our meals, and was very welcoming and friendly. As we left, the staff and regulars gave a very kindly goodbye.
