Chung's Korean Food House 📍 BO, 615 G/F P. Sobrecarey St, BO obrero, Davao City

Food Ordered: Tangsuyuk 🔥 Jeyuk Deopbap

Food (⭐️ 4/5) 🧂 Authentic Korean flavors, well seasoned and flavorful 🧂 Generous variety of tasty side dishes 🧂 Tangsuyuk is delicious, my personal favorite 🧂 Jeyuk Deopbap tastes good but could use more meat

Service (⭐️ 5/5) 🧂 Quick, friendly, and clean staff 🧂 Water and side dishes served upon dining

Place (⭐️ 3/5) 🧂 Simple and homey atmosphere 🧂 Airconditioned and clean 🧂 A bit dark inside, not well lit 🧂 Very limited parking (I suggest parking at Victoria Plaza) 🧂 Small space, you might end up sitting close to other customers

Price (⭐️3/5) 🧂 On the pricey side, not budget friendly

Overall Rating: ⭐️3.75 /5

Final Thoughts: If you're looking for authentic Korean food and are willing to spend a bit more, Chung's is definitely worth a...

When you walk inside the establishment, the space isn't that large so it can get a bit cramped. Their aesthetic is that of your typical Korean owned restaurant which feels very authentic.

In terms of service, the food took a while before it was served, probably almost 30mins even though it wasn't that busy yet, but I can say that the food was definitely worth it. We ordered their beef with stir fry vegetables ang yangnyeom chicken which was both well seasoned and delicious. What I also liked about this place is that even though we ordered meal platters, they still gave out side dishes which was very nice because they offer a lot of side dishes. They are a bit pricey though, but considering what you're getting, it's worth the price point.

Will definitely go back to try their...

We were craving gamjatang and we were not disappointed. The meat was so tender and falling off the bones. I would have liked the broth to be spicier but it was delicious nonetheless. We also ordered ojingo bokkeum (squid stirfry). However, the squid was a bit overcooked and not fresh. The sauce was not as good as Manna. They had street foods available beside the road and can be eaten inside with your dine in order. I liked the sausage with rice cakes but hard pass on the “dessert” pancake.

Don’t let the in-door pics fool you. This is a hole in the wall ambience but the service by the wait staff was efficient and friendly. There were only 2 of them but they worked quickly and no attitude...
