The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf - Abreeza — Restaurant in Davao City

The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf is a small restaurant located in a quieter area of Abreeza Mall. I sometimes drop by if I want somewhere comfortable and peaceful to catch up on the internet on my laptop, looking about on my visits I find I am not alone in this.

You see the coffee is indeed excellent not bitter in any way as in some places I could mention. But it does not stop there, a selection of teas, breakfast sets, { It is open at breakfast time } gourmet sandwiches, pasta, salads, main dishes of viandes various sorts. And then the cakes ...

I was here from the airport waiting for a business meeting when I realized that I had left my mobile in the taxi I had come in. The mall was still closed. I told the staff, Sharlene, who got and served my coffee. She told Mon, another of the morning staff, who asked if I had any details of the taxi. I got a slip provided at the airport. Mon was on a mobile (personal I think) and then on the phone line. After a few minutes, they had tracked the taxi service. He got my phone number to call the mobile to confirm if a unit was found. In less than 45 minutes, the taxi driver was back with mobile.

Employees do not greet customers as they come in. Employees were maintaining pokerfaces and did not smile when I smiled at them before ordering. Inah, the cashier at the time, was rude and not well trained. She was quite impatient after being asked what drinks are available; 80% of the drinks were not available, btw. I asked about my points and balance, and she impatiently asked the manager for authorization. She only gave me my balance, and forgot to check my points. I asked again for my points, she gave a face and asked again for authorization. Not a good experience. Did not enjoy my afternoon...
