Tsuru Abreeza — Restaurant in Davao City

Hi y’all,

So as usual let’s start with the food. The karaage was very delicious. Nothing to complain. The same goes for the miso soup so as the Japanese tea. I’m not a fan of their Donburi. Way too many onions and it’s served with a lid on it so the Katsu is not crusty at all and it is falling apart.

About the service, absolutely no complains. Very nice, very friendly and helpful.

About the atmosphere, the restaurant is clean and looks nice but I missed some nice background music. But that’s subjective I guess.

Overall, I’d recommend this restaurant.

I ordered Ika Tofu Ramen (miso based) & the taste was really disappointing. I know how it’s supposed to taste. I left with my bowl of ramen barely touched. The noodles used is similar to that of a packaged instant ramen. They don’t even use short grain rice (see photo) lol. Vietnamese coffee equally disappointing. This is why I find Japanese restos serving ramen and sushi at the same time...

Prices are high but reasonable bc ingredients are fresh and imported. We ordered a ramen (4/10) and a california maki (10/10). Maybe I ordered the wrong ramen, but their rolls were bomb! We'll definitely come back when we have time and money to explore other menu options. If you like Japanese food, you must try Tsuru!
