Don Carlos Donuts - Main — Restaurant in Iligan

Don't be fooled by the size of this place, as it holds a delightfuly sweet treat: artisan doughnuts. Maybe I am a bit bias towards doughnuts as a pastry but I was immediately sold with the variants bearing not only witty names (Edu Matchano? Berry Alonzo?), but also quite accurate and delicious flavors. Don Carlos' doughnuts bear a somewhat unique size between that of a regular doughnut and what I think is commonly known as a doughnut hole – basically, it's like a mini-doughnut of sorts and to some, maybe its in-between size lessens the guilt of eating plenty of these. Really, give their flavors a try! Together they're quite a colorful bunch to look at or maybe take tons of pictures of. Pretty good donuts ! I like the cute size and the interesting flavors. I enjoy all the flavors except the durian riviera which I was excited to try because I love durian. But I was dissappointed because the flavor was bitter and unpleasant like a very overripe durian. Not sure if they just used a bad durian for that batch or it's supposed to taste like that after cooking . Otherwise all the other donuts were yummy. The price...

Loved their donuts. The taste is not too sweet so this one is just perfect match with coffee. Their flavors are also unique, and with unique names! The place is small though so it's just really good for takeouts. Worth checking out, worth trying out! Proudly...
