Govantes Bistro — Restaurant in Ilocos Sur

I love the place because it is a riverfront staycation and cafe. It has a sunset view, and there's no mosquito at all. The setting is cool because they have accommodation and a bistro in 1 place. They have plenty of parking, and it is near the main road.

However, their service was so SLOW. We ordered matcha milktea and matcha frappe at 5:20 pm. The orders arrived at 5:41 p.m., yet the frappe was not available, so I decided to change it with matcha latte. I waited until 6:11 pm pm, and finally, our order was completed. I don't know what happened, we are only the customer around that time.

In terms of their snacks and drinks, I recommend the Nachos with Bagnet, but the drinks taste like instant. They did not use pure matcha at all. Our drinks tasted like milk with sugar and ice.

I hope they will improve their service and drinks. I will try again next time, but their alcohol drinks and food are...

We were warmly greeted by Rowena when we arrived. Though it was late, she accommodated us well and friendly. She showed us the place and the rooms we will stay. Place is clean and vey comfortable. The next morning, we walked to the Bistro to get our breakfast and we were very happy with the food and the services provided. It was very comfortable also for her to call us when we forget a bag and she sent it to us expeditiously. We stayed at The River House Loft and they also owned this restaurant. We love the ambiance of this place and there is an excellent selection of food (We love their Stuffed Squid & Pinakbet with Bagnet!) The staff was very attentive and friendly.
