This café has become a favorite of mine, and during my most recent visit, it continued to impress. One of the things I truly appreciate is their commitment to sourcing coffee beans exclusively from towns in Ilocos Sur, showcasing the rich coffee heritage of the region. For this visit, the beans were from Sigay, a town known for producing award-winning coffee that has excelled in the Philippine Coffee Quality Competition.
I ordered the usual Iced Americano, and as always, it was exceptional. The Sigay beans delivered a unique flavor profile that truly shone through: vibrant notes of berries and a winey tang, perfectly balanced by the deep, sweet undertones of plum and prune. Each sip was a sensory delight, reflecting the café’s commitment to quality and craft.
The café’s warm ambiance, with its cozy lighting and relaxed atmosphere, makes it a wonderful place to unwind. On top of that, the staff’s friendliness and professionalism stood out in a way I will never forget. During my visit, I unknowingly lost a 500-peso bill. A staff member approached us, asking if we had misplaced any money, but I initially said no because I wasn’t aware of it. A few minutes later, I realized the bill had been tucked into my baby’s shorts as a Christmas gift from his godmother earlier that day. When I returned to inform them, the staff graciously handed the money back to me. Their honesty and thoughtfulness left a lasting impression.
