Absolutely terrible service. I don't think I could come back to this place. I'd heard so many good things about this place so I was excited to try it. My group and I came on a weekday. When my group came to the restaurant, we weren't even greeted. It was around lunch when we came so I thought maybe they were just really busy. After having to keep calling for someone to seat us, we were finally given a table. Calling a server over was a challenge. Our orders took such a long time to arrive and when they did it was incorrect, the server also forgot to put an order for one of the items. When the food arrived, we weren't even given utensils. I had to ask them 3 times before they provided them. The men's restrooms were a mess. When I went to the women's restroom, one of the staff actually tried to open the stall I was in because she couldn't wait to use the stall or maybe they were going to clean it. But if a customer was inside they should have waited. If they didn't want people using it, put a sign. I'm sure you can afford that. I kept saying someone was in there then she called over a maintenance staff who had a key to try and open the stall. She stopped when I finally screamed that I was in there. What in the world was that about? Their food wasn't anything special. It wasn't bad but nothing to write home about. Or maybe it was good but the experience was tainted by the absolutely horrendous service they provided. I have never been disrespected like that at a restaurant before. There really is a first for everything. I'll stick to spots that also embody the hospitality of authentic Japanese restaurants and have staff who are just decent people...
Read moreWe've been going to the Calamba branch so many times now and when we discovered The Outlets and saw there's an ippon yari branch there, we decided to give it a try. Actually we've eaten here several times now.
What we ordered: 🍛 Ebi Tempura 6 pcs 400 pesos. Manipis na yung shrimp and the batter wasn't as crispy as I remembered it. Almost too floury? Kinda disappointing 😢 3/5
🍛 Gyoza 6 pcs. Delicious! 5/5
🍛 California maki with mayo on top 300 php 8 pcs. We loved this! Refreshing! 5/5
🍛 Beef Yakinikudon with soup around 450? This is a must order! Very tender beef, and the rice is coated in a delicious soy-based sauce with white onion. Yum! 5/5
🍛 Chicken Namban with tartar sauce and soy-based sweet sauce. With sides na shredded cabbage and potato salad. Huge serving. Very crispy and they used thigh fillet but oh my, the oil they used tasted old! Kinda gross. We won't order again. 2/5
🍛 Pork Hoiroko - spicy pork with cabbage. This is a good side! Simple yet tasty. 5/5
We paid like 2.8k?
They offer hot green teas which is free.
I love the ambiance. Aircon place so it's very comfortable. Food is cooked to order so theres a bit of a wait. Staff is also attentive pero pag meal rush, they are overwhelmed which is understandable naman. My husband asked for service water twice, and walang dumating. We had to asked the 3rd time. So yeah just manage your...

FOOD 5/5 We ordered Shoyu Ramen Shio Ramen California Maki Gyoza spicy tuna sashimi Karaage Katsudon Oyakudon And all of them are gooooooood!
SERVICE 4.8/5 Staff welcomed us as soon as we enter the restaurant, but since there were 7 of us, there was no available table. The staff offered us to seat on seperate tables (which we thought is not a good idea since we were with 2 kids and 1PWD). We opted to wait for a 7-seater table. The staff should’ve offered for us to wait for a table instead of offering to split us up because a table was free after only three minutes. I mean if we’re all adults that’s okay. I guess it’s case to case basis.
Other than that service is fast and other staff are easy to talk to so we’re giving 4.8/5 for service.
Atmosphere 4.8/5 -Place is bright we love the idea of the sunken tables. -Decor is dated. -Their TV is showing a Japanese character so we don’t understand it (but we’re not there naman to watch tv so) I’m just saying this because this just proves their food is authentic Japanese. And you’ll also see Japanese people eating here(we were eating beside a Japanese group). The restaurant is noisy (because of a lot of diners) and the loud music didn’t help.
All in all it’s the food that we’ll come back for. We’ll definitely...
