I don’t usually complain — I’m a peaceful, toothless rooster petter who just wants a little cheese in life. But today I rode my scooter all the way from Tagaytay to the“Mouse Hole Cheese Bar X Restaurant” with dreams of gouda and gruyère melting in my gums. Do you know what I found when I got there? CLOSED FOR RENOVATION. No post on Google of temporarily closed. No update. No warning. Just a giant construction site.
Now, I may not have any teeth, but I still have feelings — and butt cramps from that 1 hour scooter ride through Tagaytay fog and traffic to Batangas. You think it’s easy riding a scooter with wind slapping your gums and no cheese at the finish line? I gave up an afternoon nap with my favorite rooster, Rooster Bieber, for this. I even put on cologne..and asked my rooster boss for the day off. For what? For a locked door and crushed dairy dreams.
Next time, update your Google page. Because some of us ride for cheese. Some of us live for cheese. And some of us… pet roosters and ride scooters through life — with nothing but dreams and gums.
Sincerely, Kuya Alberto

Read moreA mouse hole is usually dark, which is reflected here. It has more the flair of a trendy meeting place with loud music than a restaurant where people like to eat. The staff is untrained, some of the dishes offered on the menu are not available. No salad although on the menu. Drinks (beer) only two types available, although 10 on the menu. Perhaps one should mark on the map what is available and what is gone. As is usual in such shops, food came with a time delay. Three always watch how one eats😅. Although it is a "fast food restaurant" you have to wait a long time for the food. Food tasted good when it was served. I prefer a catcaffee to going into a mouse hole like that a...

The parking is quite largr at the rear of the small retail area which is easy to access.
The layout of the outlet is very characteristically presented which adds to the location.
The menu is quite extensive and whilst it is reasonable in price the actual quality of the food is not quite as good.
They could have used better cuts of meat. It was nice though to have spicy food - possibly the best spicy food I have had since being in the Philippines.
WOULD I RECOMMEND? - YES give it a go - if in Lipa it is worth the trip.
