Red Apol Restaurant — Restaurant in Malay

Stayed at a hotel near Ilig-Iligan beach and not a lot of eatery/restaurant around. This was one of the few dotting around near Puka Beach so we decided to eat lunch here before going. The serving portion is hefty for the price (php300++)but the pork sinigang meat was a bit chewy and we weren't able to finish the whole bowl. The butter and garlic shrimp is too sweet for me but the shrimp is definitely fresh. Service was superb, the staff were very accommodating and nice. This quaint restaurant is in the northern tip of Boracay island near Puka Beach. Once you alight the e-trike, Red Apol Restaurant will greet you. They offer Filipino Lutong Bahay meals at an affordable price yet very tasty to match the restos along White Beach from Stations 1, 2, and 3. There were no customers when we dined, so we were surprised at the quality of food that they served. We ordered grilled fish, sinigang na hipon, ensaladang talong, and adobong pusit. Location is just a few feet from the trike stop and the beach.

Food is great, reasonably priced, and most serving portions are good for sharing.

Staff are nice and attentive.

The resto is not fancy, more of the homey, neighborly type. This works...
