Industriya Marikina — Restaurant in Marikina

A word of warning to those who would choose this restaurant as the reception for their child's baptism or any importany event.

We had our daughter baptized last March 29, 2015 and we chose indistruya since there were great reviews of the place and it is relatively new(a hot place to visit in marikina).

We took their 2nd flr function room for 60 persons. At the time we arrived on the room, it was hot. The waiters explained that it is because there are only 2 of 3 AC's running. We asked for a workaround, a set of electric fans perhaps however one waiter was rude enough to tell our guests "wala po kami electric fan".

The food was great, it was tasty and everyone liked it. However the rice was served only fit for a princess. There were just half of cup rice served per plate during the controlled buffet, we have asked for another roud of rice but it took 25mins for the rice to be served, by that time our guests were already done eating. It was later revealed to us during settling of bill that rice is refillable, however the waiters served it good for a toddler's tummy would fill.

Last thing I hated was the profesionalism of their crew, most of their waiters were rude to our guests who were complaining of the temperature, one waiter even told our customers to wait for a glass of water to be served because they are still clearing the tables. The event orgnizer whom we had this booking reserved didn't even bother to climb up the 2nd floor and see how we are doing, we were left upstairs to finish our food while we are dripping with sweat and not getting what we havr paid for.

To sum it up, considering how pricey their package could get. We are regretful that we have chosen Industriya Marikina for our event. As I have said to their crew, their food was great, the place is nice however the service is a BIG...

Due to my DISAPPOINTMENT i had to write my review about this restaurant to served as a fair warning to everyone who is deciding to choose them as the reception. My family decided to choose Industriya Marikina as the reception for my dad's 60th birthday on Dec 1 from 12nn-4pm for 85 pax. First, the price is too expensive compared to other restaurants in Marikina. But i still decided to give this place a shot since they have a nice rustic interior. Fast forward on the day of the event, I came to the venue 1 hr and 30 mins early. When I arrived, the first flr where the event will be held was not completely set up yet. Staffs were too slow and no coordination. At around 12 nn visitors came in but the buffet table was not completely setup. Supposedly, lunch should be served at 12:15 but the manager told us to give them 15 mins because the food isnt ready yet. The host of my event had to stretched the program to give them an ample of time to prepare. Good thing, we brought several appetizers to be served to the guests while waiting for the food. At exactly 1pm, thats when the lunch was served. Another downfall, i booked for 85 pax but blueberry pannacotta that they served isn't for 85 people. They just completely ripped off of my money. Staff : 10/10 Everyone was really accommodating. The staff even helped me setup the evening for my Blind date. They are alert when you need them. Parking attendants are there. I even left my things at my motorcycle and nothing was lost.

Food : 8/10 A bit expensive so better prepare, Food was actually good but i'd like suggest of a menu that shows the actual food and not just names, i wanted to try new food from their menu but i was really hesitant (dont wanna look foolish ordering and not eating what i ordered) so i played it safe. Plus an estimate as to how many pax can one serving accomodate.

Ambience : 10/10 This is the main reason as to why one should eat at Industriya. As my date said and i quote "Napakaromantic nung place, very romantic." Plus a blush and a smile, so you know your getting plus points for picking a good place like this. 😉 Very instagram worthy.

Overall experience was 10/10, sobrang naenjoy namin ng ka-Blind date ko yung stay namin, yung kwentuhan,yung pagkain, that we had no pictures to boast. Aside from the smiles that i remember, and of course.. the Girl that i am with. Thank you Industriya for adding that extra "Zing" to that...
