Food: your typical hotpot essentials are available, although they do not refill as frequently as they used to. The meats available for grilling are mostly chicken and pork, and they have fish too which is great. If you want beef, you'd have to request it. A lot of shellfish in the fresh food options too. Sushi station is more like maki station, if you are allergic to crabstick then you can't try any of it as everything has crabstick. For desserts, not too fancy but they have good ice cream which is from Big Scoop, a good local brand. Service: Very attentive, especially when the grill starts to fire up due to the nonstick paper they put on the grill. Some staff in the food stations will guide you on the many options available. Atmosphere: We were seated at the front because we have a pet dog in stroller with us, probably to at least keep the dog away from the buffet stations, however due to this our party of 6 were separated into two tables, as they can't combine the tables into a long table due to the fixed grill in the middle. The floors were oily near the toilet and you have to be careful walking over there. Although one good thing is that there was good ventilation, because even though a lot has been grilling simultaneously, the place did not smell of it and was not stuffed.

The food was nice. Service was spectacular! The heat on their cookers were kinda weak but it's waitable. The place isnt that small, but the choices were kinda limited. I highly reccomend their "Pork Belly", and "Beef Karubi". Thin slices but it'll easily get you full. I like their ice cream, it's definitely high quality. The place is nice for friendgroups or dates. (Don't take your girl here for the first date.) I reccomend a 6-12 person group. Their softdrinks/drinks are very limited though, theres only Pepsi, MUG, Mountain Dew, and 7-Up.

This has been our go-to meal place. I am always looking forward for a nice meal date here. Plus, the staffs are really friendy. 1. Try the final scoops of Salted Caramel ice cream- you’ll scream for more! 2. You can request for Hakaw from the chef. They are more than willing to prepare you some 3. You can request for a butter for a buttered shrimp meal (just add plenty of garlic from the condiments area) 4. Perfect drink was wheatgrass (if it is available) 5. You can request enoki from the chef. They will give you some

We dined here today at 2pm, and honestly, it was one of the worst experiences I’ve had in a restaurant.

Scenario 1 – Food Safety Issue Just about 10 minutes after we started eating, I saw a mouse 🐀 run from another group’s table towards ours. I immediately told my companion, who reported it to one of the staff. The crew stopped what she was doing, left, then came back and continued as if nothing happened—no feedback, no reassurance. Later, when she served our soup refill, I asked if she told the manager. Her reply shocked me:

“Yes po, dibale ma’am, madami naman kaming mouse trap.”

Seriously? That’s the solution? Just rely on mouse traps? No apology, no concern. It’s like seeing a rodent inside a dining area was a normal thing for them.

Scenario 2 – Discount Handling When we asked for the bill, the cashier came to our table and said, “Ay meron pong senior discount diba?” I clearly told her, “No, PWD po ang nakasulat.” She just ignored it, no reaction, no apology, nothing. Very rude and inattentive.

Scenario 3 – Manager’s Response Since we had to pay by card and the signal was weak at our table, we went to the cashier’s post. I personally asked the chubby guy manager: “Kailan kayo nag-pest control? Kasi bakit naman may tumatakbong Mickey Mouse sa lobby niyo?” His reply in shock, unaware of the incident, whereas prior, the crew in scenario 1 told us that she already informed her manager. “Saan po?” I told him that his staff already knew and informed him. He checked the table, then went back to his office. That’s it. No explanation, no apology, no follow-up to us.

My Overall Impression After three different incidents, nobody—NOT ONE staff or manager—approached us to apologize or address what happened. It felt like they had no training, no sense of accountability, and no concern for customers at all.

Food safety is no joke. If this happened to them while they were dining, would they also just brush it off? To the management of Tong Yang, nationwide, please train your staff and managers properly. The lack of professionalism and empathy is very disappointing.

I will never come back here again, nor will I recommend this place to any of my...

This is our go-to grill and shabu-shabu restaurant because it's near our village. I can't even count how many times we've eaten at your Feliz branch. My only complaint here in Tong Yang is their paper-thin meat slices, they're so thin that they're almost see-through. I hope next time they make the cuts thicker 😂 I also didn't like their tempura section, if you don't ask for shrimp tempura, they won't give it to you, the cook hides the tempura haha! I can't understand why they need to hide it when shrimp tempura is included in what we paid for. I don't get the logic behind it haha!

As for the staff, the dining staff now are better, they move quickly and approach us promptly, unlike your previous staff who would ignore us even after calling them 4 times or more until we approached them. I hope it continues like this so we won't get annoyed with your dining staff anymore.

Also, in the three times I've eaten there, the staff disturb the guests just to ask for reviews on Google, Facebook, and Yelp. Can't they do that after eating? Like while waiting for the bill, approach the guests to ask for a review. There are no authentic reviews here because you're watching while the guests are rating. That's why I only rated now because I don't want to rate while eating and while you're watching. And FYI, your service isn't technically finished yet, so don't ask for a rating in the middle of our meal. So there, you got my rating, 3 stars.

I hope you improve the concerns mentioned here, because I've read your low-rating reviews and they're all complaining about your "paper-thin" meat. I hope the management can find a way to make...

We were there on a Monday, lunch and celebrating my mom's bday. It's now open to seniors and kids (they don't have the kids promo anymore, but bday promo is ongoing) just bring fully vaccinated IDs.

And I must say very good service, in spite of it being both pandemic & holiday season. Service crew are not free-roaming and are situated in their own stations, so it's easier to get free soup, meat and seafood refills. Floor is also filled to only 2/3rds of seating capacity, so not so crowded.

Staff are still friendly, even after asking for multiple refills (yes, ate on the meat & seafood station, that's you 😁!)

Ready to eat dishes, although limited, were tasty and good to eat while waiting for your soup to boil. The maki on the other hand seemed to be prepared last night as the rice was already gritty (but we were not there for the maki, so it's ok).

Meat and seafood selection had enough variety. If you go through each one, you'll find yourself consuming the allotted 3 hours. My soup selection (mala spicy) was spicy enough but would have enjoyed the shabu-shabu more if the dips and sauces had more variety to mix & match, also to often top-up the sauces.

Desserts (puddings & cake) were blah, same for all viking group restaurants. So their ice cream was a better option.

Lastly, a word of advice (as it was my first time to eat there), ask for the thin beef slices and lettuce by the carving/slicing station as it is often out and you would think it...
