No lights on corner tables. I saw a few objects that should not be found on a restaurant floor (Such as a piece of kalamansi that seemed already quashed and squeezed by a hundred shoes!) My husband's order was rubbery. And lastly, the First Sergeant meal (pasta, olive oil, spanish sardines) seemed healthy so I ordered it. But it was absolutely depressing, on several points: 1) very salty, 2) it looked like the pasta was simply dumped into a bed of TWO cans of whole spanish sardines - and I can tell it was the cheapest brand in the supermarket! 3) I wished to remedy the obvious lack of culinary touch in the dish, so I asked for a slice of lemon, or perhaps, one kalamansi? (The unpleasant fishy taste was simply overwhelming and nauseating!) But wait staff and cashier-supervisor responded with a flat negative. No effort made to procure some. 4) the dish was simply made of pasta, oil, salt, and sardines - nothing else! There wasn't a bit of parsley, or some culinary creativity to make it more appealing to both eyes and taste buds, wholesome and balanced. Needless to say, I didn't finish my dish.

It's always disappointing when a once-favorite restaurant fails to live up to expectations. Troopers, a former go-to spot of mine, seems to have lost its charm over time. While the menu remains largely unchanged, the quality of the food has noticeably declined. Dishes that once delighted my taste buds now leave much to be desired, lacking the flavor and freshness I remember fondly. It's disheartening to see a beloved dish lose its magic. Moreover, the cleanliness of the restaurant leaves much to be desired. The dining area appears unkempt and dirty, with tables and floors in need of a thorough cleaning. It's off-putting to dine in an environment that feels neglected and unhygienic. As a loyal customer, I hope Troopers can address these issues and regain its former glory. A return to high-quality ingredients, attentive preparation, and a clean, inviting atmosphere would surely win back the hearts of many disappointed patrons. Until then, I'll be exploring other dining options in search of a more satisfying experience.

Steak is tough, while its hot eating here, the effort to slice the steak adds to the agony of finishing a meal. Nachos is so pale I though it's infected with covid. No taste and no smell at all, even though how I tried to enjoy it.

I highly recommend their Tapsilog but do not get your hopes high when it comes to customer service. It’s as if they really don’t want any customers eating there. The rice they use seems to be low class and tastes bad. Feel like I was eating NFA rice. When you order unli rice, you expect they will offer extra rice before you finish your rice but they just simply wait for you then takes forever. The rice was not even hot. Don’t they have food warmer or something? My ordered BBQ Liempo but the pork was really difficult to slice. They didn't even provide a knife. You also need to request for condiments. We ordered Lechon Kawali but was not even crispy. Hope they will do something about it or else, they will lose customers. Cheap carinderias are way better...

Food: 3/5 Cleanliness: 4/5 Customer...
