Big Joe's Cafe — Restaurant in Mindanao

Big joes is one of the most popular restaurants in the city. Food is quite cheap and that's why it's still relevant and famous up to this day. I always enjoy their burgers and siomai as a snack and its very affordable. However, I don't recommend their rice meals, it's not as good as before especially their sisig, orange chicken and sizzling burger steak. Their food is always too "salty" or bland. Carbonara is also just like pasta with a bit of cream and tid bits of bacon. Its disappointing how they improved their interior yet the food is still in a bad quality. Also, when I was drinking my soda, there was a fruitfly that made me return the said drink and got it replaced. No apologies were made by the crew.... First time here after visiting Dipolog many times. We were greeted by friendly staff and seated promptly. The restaurant was nearly packed at 7:30 pm which I took as a good sign. The smell of barbeque was strong and really got our appetite going. The mango shake was fresh and not too sweet. We had their delicious pork siomai with our entrees of shrimp relleno and baby back ribs. Both were good, but I liked the shrimp better. We capped it with special Halo Halo with real ube ice cream. The food is okay. What bothers me is the quality of the service. The crew lack politeness and common courtesy. They choose the customers they want to entertain. Each time I called their attention, I got snubbed and when I finally got one of them to answer, she showed sass. I ordered some sizzling sisig from them, and it was served without any utensil I can use to mix the sisig and egg while it was still sizzling. By the time I was given a spoon, the sisig was already burnt and dry. They didn't even give me a fork.
