Disappointed with Senior Citizen VAT Exemption Policy
I recently visited Angel’s Pizza and used my B1G1 card to order a Creamy Spinach Pizza. When I presented my grandmother’s senior citizen ID and authorization letter for the discount, the cashier informed me that no additional discount could be applied due to the B1G1 promo. While I understand that the 20% discount doesn’t stack with promos, senior citizens are still entitled to a VAT exemption under Philippine law (RA 9994).
However, my receipt shows that VAT was still charged (₱62.68). When I asked about it, I was told that since my order was already discounted, they couldn’t apply any further exemptions. This seems incorrect, as VAT exemption is separate from the discount.
I hope Angel’s Pizza reviews its policy and trains its staff properly regarding senior citizen benefits. This isn’t about getting a bigger discount—it’s about ensuring businesses comply with the law and respect senior citizens' rights.

For three consecutive orders, their average delivery time to my place is three hours given that their shop is just nearby. One of the three incidents was the irresponsible staff who skipped my order from their system and just went home after his/her shift. The worst part is they don't have any recovery service nor complimentary one. Based on their staff ( counter or delivery rider), they are under staff. There was a time that the rider was complaining to me that he was the only rider delivering to three areas/Barangay of Paranaque City.
