Mensakaba Geishu is one of the more recent additions to our family's list of all-time favorite restaurants. This tiny place has a cozy, authentic feel to it from the counter-seating only dining area with NHK features or "Kodoku no Gurume" episodes playing on the TV hanging over it to the calm presence of its Japanese chef/owner efficiently at work behind it. Seats fill up pretty quickly especially at dinnertime (they can accommodate 12 people at a time) on weekends so either come early or expect a short queue of patient patrons outside.

Their ramen menu is straightforward and standard (miso, shio, shoyu, tantanmen), very reasonably priced at P250-P270 a bowl. Their broth may not be as heavy or exotic as other (pricier) menya, but the simple, clean taste is one that keeps you wanting to come back again soon. The best for me is their Tantanmen (P250, red or black) and Chashumen (P270). You'll also never go wrong with a serving of Gyoza (P140) on the side.

If you're more of a rice person, their Chashudon is a great chow at just P150. Recently, they started offering Gyudon (P180) as a weekend-only special and for just P180, it's worth trying out. Their new menu cards no longer list it, but ask if they have Yakitori available. They're...

Nice and cozy, very fast service. Everything you need they provide without being asked- ample supply of full tissue boxes, alcohol, every group is provided a pitcher of water or tea aside from full glasses, condiments. Staff are friendly, service is very fast! 😍

The food is fantastic for the price! Chasu cut is thick, the meat is juicy, not to greasy, not over seasoned with too many flavors. The broth of the chasu ramen is porky, great with chili oil. The miso ramen is comforting, not too salty, well balanced. Ramen noodles are cooked just right, and each bowl comes with plenty of noodles. The gyoza are plump and juicy, clean tasting.

Will definitely come back! 😍 😍...

I found this ramen shop popping up my FB account and was curious for a while til I read thru the reviews about it in GMap. This is one of BF Homes' gems for honest to goodness no frills ramen shop 😘 Ordered the Chasuramen, Tentenmen Black ramen (surprisingly, its black not becuase of squid ink but by black sesame which happens to be my favorite flavor 🥰) The broths tasted wonderful and gyoza was cooked perfectly which brought me and my husband all smiles. I love the atmosphere of an old rundown shop which this shop gives you a vibe of "old Japan"..Staff were great! Highly recommended and will be one of our go to's in BF...
