Tatsunoko is a restaurant that has been around the BF area since as long as I can remember. They're a small homey traditional Japanese restaurant that serves alot of different authentic Japanese dishes. We would usually order their rice meals such their Katsudon and their Katsu curry. Both are amazingly delicious. Their portions are big and generous, they won't be stingy with their sauces and rice servings either. My favorite would be their Katsu curry, aside from the delicious crunchy katsu they'd serve their curry with chicken! I eat alot and believe me I couldn't even finish the whole plate! My wife's favorite would be their Gyudon. Their beef bowl is tasty, the sauce is very savory and the beef is soft and tender. With all the rice we've eaten, we still hadn't have enough so we ordered sushi! Their tuna and salmon sushi are big! It surprises me that even after the pandemic, which causes most restaurants to shrink their servings, Tatsunoko remained the same! Eating at Tatsunoko can require alil bit of patience though. Since the food is cooked fresh, it can take awhile for your orders to get to the table. I suggest to order some appetizers like their salmon sashimi and tempura so you won't be bored. We also ordered their big tumblers of ice tea to keep us refreshed from the hot Sunday afternoon. You can also look around check the old Japanese stuff inside the house/restaurant. Overall, Tatsunoko is a place we will continue to visit and support.

Tatsunoko Bentoya is a small restaurant inside the BF Parklane Subd., Paranaque City. It is easily located since it was located 12 meters away from the guard house. The interior is rather quaint, as it looks like eating inside the residential house. You may choose to eat among the tables or the table in front of the kitchen, which is typically the arrangement in a Japanese restaurant. I ordered the Orishi Soba, which is a cold noodle with some grated white radish on top and wasabi paste. There were books on the shelves but written in Nihongo or Japanese language, where the text is arranged from top to bottom. There is a single Detective Conan manga nut the conversation text is in native Japanese language. They are open from Tuesdays to Sundays, with a break time from 2 pm-5 pm. Monday is their employee's rest day.

Value and quality. These are the 2 words that come to mind when I had eaten here. I can't believe how cheap the food was given the quality and taste. The katsudon had a pretty large serving and really filled me up. I loved the taste of the yakisoba, too. It had an ample balance between meat and veggies. What surprised me the most was the gyoza. It really blew me away. So much so that I'd say it's even better than the ones at mendokoro ramenba. I sadly forgot to take a picture because I enjoyed it too much that I forgot to take one.
