We had a very bad experience during my son’s 12th birthday. We booked a function room. Initially, We were supposed to order according to the set selections however we asked the staff as to how we can save. And per their recommendation it is practical to have them in a family tray instead, and so we agreed. When they finished seting up the buffet table, just by a glance and anybody can tell the food is not enough for 15pax. And by the way according to them they added buffer for 3 more pax. I started to panic as most of our guests have already arrived. I even talked to the manager regarding our concern. Seeing me that I’m so disppointed she told us that if ever the food won’t be enough then she takes care of the rice for free of charge but for the dishes that will be added to my total bill. The waiter was instructed to standby and check if in case. The buffet started and as expected, we ran out of rice and chicken tray is almost empty considering the guests qeue is just halfway. Feeling embarrased, I ordered extra dishes that’s easy to prepare. During this time, I had to do the job of the waiter as most of the time he’s nowhere to be seen(there was only 1 waiter assigned in our function room). Not so happy but we ended the dinner at 930pm.I paid my bill balance. While driving home, still disppointed and kept thinking. Just when we got home I reviewed the contract and the receipt and voila, one of the dishes ( pork crackling) was not served. If I may have 1 mistake it was my failure to check all the food ordered and food actually served. This could have been avoided if only there’s a headwaiter or manager to countercheck if all the orders are complete. Kasama po sya sa binayaran ko. I was preoccupied and didnt have time to check on everything. Kaya pala isang tingin ko pala lang bakit parang kokonti ang food? I want to think this was not intentionally done however if you’re in this business you are not allowed to have this kind of issue. I will never visit nor dine in this place ever again. Service ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Ambience ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Beef Stroganoff ⭐️ Value for money: ⭐️ The Stroganoff was beyond disappointment. It doesn’t taste anything like traditional stroganoff. It lacks the essential saltiness and creamy, buttery flavor. All I could taste was the overwhelming sour cream, giving an impression that the food was on the verge of spoiling.
Charsiu by Ahana ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Value for money: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Charsiu by Ahana is exquisite as always. However, it could be further elevated by drizzling some sweet sauce on top to enhance its flavor profile.
Braised Short Ribs ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Value for money: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The Braised Short Ribs were cooked to perfection, neither too soft nor too hard. The flavor was well balanced, making it a delightful dish.
Crispy Pork Crackling ⭐️⭐️ Value for money: ⭐️ The Crispy Pork Crackling was disappointing. The meat didn’t taste fresh and was a bit overcooked making the meat along the end a bit hard. There’s nothing unique about the taste considering the price. However, I did enjoy the crispy skin.
Salmon Aburi ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Value for money: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The Salmon Aburi was perfectly cooked. The taste was well balanced, making it a standout dish.
Truffle Mushroom ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Value for money: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The Truffle Mushroom Pasta was delightful. I could really savor the truffle, and the creaminess was spot on. I love this dish.
Pumpkin Soup ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Value for money: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The Pumpkin Soup was fine, but I would have preferred a creamier texture. The accompanying slice of baked bread was perfect in taste and crispiness, complementing the soup well.
Lemon Slush ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Value for money: ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Lemon Black Tea ⭐️⭐️ Value for Money: ⭐️
Strawberry Milk Shake ⭐️⭐️ Value for money: ⭐️
Overall, while some dishes shone with excellence, others fell short of expectations. The restaurant could benefit from addressing these inconsistencies to provide a more uniformly delightful...
Read moreOverview: An excellent place for food, coffee, and conversation. A number hold their special events here like birthdays.
Food: There is a wide range of choices. Our photos show how Buttery & Co offer one order of two things: half daing na bangus and half spanish sardines with fried rice (a personal favorite). Salad is fresh and, what is unique, the dressing is tasty without being overwhelming (excellent).
While this is not strictly a coffee place, coffee is very good. It provides a good backdrop to family or business conversations.
Service bread is good and generously provided. A very wide range of bread and pastries are available for dine in and pasalubong for the unfortunate family members who were unable to come to the restaurant.
Service: Servers are very attentive and helpful. This is one of those places where tables have a button / bell for service.
Others: There is parking for a good number, tho it can get full when busy. Aircon was warm when we were there. Maybe it needs to be serviced.
Buttery & Co has tables located at an area with a skylight and we have found it refreshingly airy.
Surely a place we come back to for...
