We were a party of three. Made a reservation but it wasn't necessary because there's not much crowd to expect. The food was good, it was nothing special. We had the big brekky, tapsi-turvy and bistek somethinga and the champorado. I guess the options wasn't as wide as I expected.
Anyway,. We came in, there was already 2 occupied tables. One with like 4-5 people in it and the other was a party of 2. All the couch tables have reserved sign on it so, I didn't bother to ask to get a bigger table. They sat us on this table that is only good for 2, they just gave us another seat and a table setting. It was, okay. We ordered and went on with our conversation. Food came in a few minutes later. We finished our meals but we still had the Champorado to share, it was a huge serving. We are clearly still eating even if it's like taking too long to digest the champorado. One of the crews came up to us and asked my friend if she's done with the plate, surprised she nervously said yes. Crew picked up her plate and asked for mine, I said no. We were just baffled at what happened. My friend didn't have a spoon for the champorado because crew took it already. So I gave her the used spoon instead.
A few minutes later, crew came back to take our plates again, I said no, we're not done. Another few minutes later, crew came back to take our plates again. I was pissed at this time at how they are so eager to take away our plates. We are clearly still eating. It doesn't matter if we're done with the plated meal, we're still not done.
It's annoying that staff do this weird thing of taking away a plate when people are not ready to be done. It's like shooing away your customers. You take away the plate when people starts asking for the bill not whenever you like.
I didn't argue about it, I was just done with the behaviour and was ready to get out of there. I paid for our meal and left.

Read moreno pics 😔🤚 but went here yday for sunday dinner!
its a lot smaller than expected but we were brought to our seats quickly naman at 4pm. i love brunch so the items in their menu are right in my wheelhouse, and here’s what we’ve got to say for each item (rating out of 5)
iced tea ⭐️ super duper sweet!! hope you can adjust
onion rings ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ onion rings were typical but inchresting dips! spicy adobo aioli wasnt spicy however 😭 i did taste the adobo
bearhug omelette ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ really good cheese they used. idk if they have it in a sandwich pero this would be rly good in like a mcdo cheesedesal kinda style ? thats my pref over toast bread
fried chicken w rice something ⭐️⭐️⭐️ asked my brother why pero kasi he didn’t expect it daw to be chicken breast na flattened which makes it prone to overcooking. rice was good quality but not garlic in taste raw!
fried chicken w ube pancake ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for me chicken was a tad salty, there were times clumps of breading mix flavor exploded in my mouth. but the ube pancakes were excellente. i loved the butter and syrups that came w it and i could really taste ube flavor vs others na color lang talaga!! serving size was also really really good. i spread it over 2 meals and was full for both LOL
pastillas soft serve ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ everyone agreed this was a 5 starer. just get it trust meeee
overall food was okay but if improved it has a lot of potential! wish you could add more stuff but i do get this is soft opening pa lang. service was also really great too. excited to see how they are post-soft...

This Easter Sunday, our family had brunch in the newest Filipino diner along Katpunan White Plains West… TARA.
Modest in space size, the teal color inside the restaurant brings a cool and delightful feel to family and friends sharing a meal. And the welcoming atmosphere feels like home.
I first tried this naturally mixed apple fizz stop juice. Wow! It was so refreshing and tasted so much like apple! Perfect in this summer heat. And not so sweet too!
Then the BEAR HUG omelette had the exact flavors of cheese. Not too greasy nor overcooked and simply presented just like how you would make it at home. My meal was filling but not too heavy for a senior who just came in from cycling.
The menu offers a wide range of dishes from appetizers to desserts. The fries, onion rings, salads and others come with different types of homemade dips to suit one’s tastes. And the generous and flavorful servings of the main dishes will indeed give you a satisfying meal! At reasonable costs too!
So TARA is so much a welcome and promising addition to the food strip along Katipunan White Plains. So if you need a respite from convenience food, try TARA…the diner to go for home cooked and...
