Saw that this branch opened the other day, so my work colleagues and I paid a visit!
Got the vietnamese cocoa with cinnamon (iced) and a pain au chocolat. My colleagues got lemongrass chicken bahn mi, passionfruit freeze, and the hanoi dracontomelon w soda. We tried a bit from each other's orders and I can say it was a solid 10/10!
I was surprised by the serving size of the drinks and I can say it was worth the price. Personally, I think the vietnamese cocoa might have been better if it was hot, but I found it a nice treat to have iced since it was really hot that afternoon.
The pain au chocolat, on the other hand, was very buttery and was flaky (it made such a satisfying crunch when you would bite it) and the chocolate was a good balance for the rich buttery taste.
I only have good photos of the cocoa and the passionfruit slush, and the bahn mi since we got really excited to try our orders HAHA
The interiors of the cafe were very homey and it made for a comfortable visit. Would...
Read moreFirst time to visit Cong Ca Phe Maginhawa branch and it didn't dissapoint 😊 The place is pretty laidback and well-ventilated, there's ample chairs and tables with comforting pillows and sockets are also available for your perusal.
The staff are courteous with cheerful attitude. Special to mention to ELE (cashier) when I told him it's my first time, he discussed to me the full menu (highlighting the best sellers and must-try) for the drinks and pastries. He really knows the product. Kudos also to SAJID who served my order with a smile and enthusiasm. 👌
As for the drinks and food.. I highly recommend the Coffee with Peanut Butter Cream! The flavors are well-balanced... who would think that the peanut butter will complement the coffee 😋 partnered with their warm butter croissant with not-so-sweet condensed milk dip.
Overall it was a great experience and I can't wait to come back again! 🌟
Thank you for the free...
Read moreLove this branch better compared to their first one in Gateway as it gives a more quiet, Vietnamese Cong Caphe vibe.
🩵 Plenty of chairs available for dine-in customers. 🩵 We came around lunch time and service was fast. 🩵 Banh Mi (pork and lemongrass ones) were delicious! 🩵 Had Coconut Coffee and it was still satisfactory 🩵 Remote work-friendly. Most tables have access to an outlet. 🩵 There were 4 of us so we sat upstairs. It was a bit hot, so we requested for one of the airconditioners to be turned on. Staff politely agreed and did so after a few minutes.
A few things worth checking for improvement:
❗️Comfort room was leaking on the floor. It could be from the toilet’s flush as it was empty and not working. ❗️The coconut coffee and other cold drinks with whip-like structure on top NEEDS a straw. In case people don’t know, even paper straws are not allowed in QC when dining in. So this is a reminder to...
