AMBIANCE / CLEANLINESS 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Locating Caution Hot is a breeze. It's at the corner of Maginhawa and Magiting Streets. Right across a convenience store. Once you see it and enter its doors, you'll be left with one impression. BASIC. No frills. Minimalist interiors. The Condiments Section and Service Water are conveniently located in one side of the dining area. Wooden tables and chairs. Simple BUT Clean.
FOOD 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 I intentionally rushed my review of the resto's ambiance and how it fared in terms of cleanliness because I want to go straight to what we were there for. FOOD! FOOD! FOOD and our WJN moment!
Choosing your feast is such a breeze. Just 4 easy steps! Remember the Code to Heaven. TBNB. Toppings. Broth. Noodles. BURN! Step 1 Choose your toppings. All Veggie. Pork. Beef. Seafood. Step 2 Choose your broth. Szechuan. Asam Laksa. Classic. Step 3 Choose your noodles. Wheat. Egg. Step 4 Choose your burn. 1st Degree. 2nd Degree. 3rd Degree. Ultimate Burn.
Pretty neat right? With the first 3 steps being clearly self-explanatory in the menu board, let's focus on the BURN peeps!
1st Degree Burn is for the Basic Noodle Lovers. This is for Aunts & Grannies who want to sip their steaming hot soup just like the old times. Would also do well for tots in tow.
Next would be the 2nd Degree. Kinda hot. Not really hot. Moms and Dads will find this level pretty tolerable. Even "bunso" will find it appealing.
Oh and it's getting hotter! The adventurous in you will go for the 3rd Degree. And why not! You being a risk-taker will not settle for just so-so. Without batting an eyelash, the ULTIMATE BURN it is!
And our choices would speak a lot about us. I had the BEEF SZECHUAN EGG NOODLES - 3rd DEGREE. Mizi? Your guess? Yes she opted for the PORK (ASADO) SZECHUAN WHEAT NOODLES - ULTIMATE BURN! Whoooah! We dared. Moved forward and never came back! This for us, is one of our best noodle moments!
You know what's so good about Caution Hot's Noodle Soup? Whenever we have Hot Noodle Soups, they're spicy and nothing else. This is where Caution Hot stands out. Theirs is hot yet still very flavorful. Meat Toppings are tasty and fork-tender. Veggies are fresh.
And what goes best with these noodle wonders? What else but one, if not the best Steamed PORK or PORK KUCHAY DUMPLINGS in this side of the food universe. And you dip it in their Black Vinegar and Chili Sauce combi and be prepared to be transported to seventh heaven! (Drooling while typing! 🤤🤤🤤)
Caution Hot's SOYA or OOLONG MILK TEA will be your greatest refreshment buddies ever. Non-negotiable! Creamy and tastes super authentic! Gearing towards some serious thirst-quenching? Go for Unlimited!
For dessert, we were served BAO BING. Shaved ice dessert with fig and grass jelly, fruits and condensed milk topped with vanilla ice cream. The Chinese' take of the Filipino Halo-Halo. Amazing!
CUSTOMER SERVICE 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Great Food + Excellent Customer Service = AWESOME DINING EXPERIENCE. Caution Hot's crew are very accommodating and attentive. Service is fast. Their smiles are genuine and they look happy at what they do. Kudos to all of you! Special mention to our host Leah who made sure all our questions were answered and our needs attended to.
PRICE 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Caution Hot is a proof that Great Food need not be expensive. Their most expensive bowl is pegged at just slightly over P200 and servings are HUGE and will surely be good for sharing! (Unless you're like me and you become greedy with yours and finish it off yourself!) Dumplings at about P10 each!...
Read moreWe recently visited Caution Hot! along Maginhawa Street, drawn by its concept of customizable Chinese-style spicy noodles and intriguing broth options. While the idea seemed promising, the overall experience fell short of expectations.
The menu features a build-your-own format—choose your main (beef, pork, seafood, or vegetable), pair it with a broth (ranging from Spicy Szechuan to Non-Spicy Classic), and select your heat level from “1st Degree Burn” up to “Ultimate Burn.” On paper, it sounds great for chili lovers, but in execution, the flavors lacked depth. The broth we tried (Spicy Szechuan) was underwhelming and one-dimensional, more reliant on heat than rich seasoning. The spice levels were inconsistent, and the “Ultimate Burn” didn’t deliver the satisfying punch it promised.
Dumplings, a staple side offering, were decent but nothing memorable. The dipping sauces felt like an afterthought rather than an enhancement. On the beverage side, the Oolong Milk Tea was refreshing but didn’t justify the price.
Ambience-wise, the place is tight and can get a bit noisy. Service was functional, though not particularly warm or attentive. Given the pricing—P250+ for a noodle bowl—there are other noodle spots in the area that offer better value and more refined taste.
Overall Verdict: Caution Hot banks more on its gimmick than actual culinary quality. It’s a fun one-time try, but not a go-to for serious...

But, you may take out your orders if you are a health conscious person. We always ordered Taiwanese Beef with egg noodles Spicy Asam Laksa soup. It has egg and vegetables like cucumber, pineapple strips, mint leaves with a level 1 degree burn. Haha! That's all I can manage. For my husband whose not fan of spicy soup. He tried Taiwanese Beef with egg noodles a non-Spicy Classic soup. It is mixed with mushrooms, green leafy vegetables and and fried egg. Perfect matched with a steamed Kuchay-Pork Dumplings with 2 deep sauce for a change of flavor of course for ramen was served in big sizes bowls.
