Tried out their shawarma and tasted good but noticed they put 4 large pcs of fries in the middle as a filler meaning your not getting a full wrap of meat. That being said its not worth the money as other shawarma restos similarly priced within the area fill it up completely with competitive taste. Chicken is tender.
Owner was manning the cashier and was rude. I was standing for a while infornt of him but he kept talking to his staff. When I went back to have additional orders it took forever , his staff just looked at me only when i was visibly annoyed did they call the owner to man the cashier again. Didnt look happy to see customers and rudely handles cash and change back at you as if hes superior than Filipinos. Waiting area for take outs is small and the enterance door took up half the seat for waiting.
All in all if your looking to satisfy your middle eastern cravings this place will do, just lower your expectations feeling welcomed and being appreciated for choosing their business. Customer service and experience was poor for me mainly thanks to the egotistical owner.
They also didn't give a receipt which is a big business malpractice considering that my order was...
Read moreWe had lunch here yesterday and personally, I was disappointed. We ordered:
Falafel wrap - 6/10. It’s okay. The hint of the spice is there but very water down.
Hummus with meat - 3/10. Not for me.
Sambousak Feta & Cheese - 8/10. This is tasty and I like it.
Mixed Kebab Rice - 8/10. The only meat that is tasty here is the kafta. So it’s better to order kafta kebab rice instead.
Saj Chicken Shawarma - this is such a disappointment. It’s too bland for me and it’s just meh.
The ambience is okay. It has a nice small place and they have an open kitchen. I just feel bad for their staff though coz it’s scorching hot in there and there’s no AC.
Parking is also limited.
The owner is the one who’s taking the orders and boy, he’s not fun. I understand that he doesn’t need to be friendly but at least a hi will do. When you give your order to him, it feels like you’re giving him a tasks that he’s not happy about. Also, bring cash instead. You can pay thru bank transfer but imagine if you forget an order, you need to keep paying the bank fees when...
Read moreI love the fact that there is only one Meshwe in town. The owner likes to run a tight ship and franchising would mean more money but, like everything that expands, quality eventually deteriorates.
Best ME food in this side of the globe (I always hit it up whenever I fly in)! I guess that’s what happens when the owner is passionate about his food rather than profit. We need more businessmen like you sir!
Even if the staff falls short in customer service, that does not take away from the fact that the food here is definitely worth the trip! Then again, that adds to the ME experience. It’s so authentic that the crew, ambiance and parking is almost just like it is in the ME. lol
Heading back right now! :) (aways worth the loooooong commute! Haha).
And oh, leaving negative reviews coz a place is closed is...
