Peri-Peri Charcoal Chicken & Sauce Bar (St. Charbel) Mindanao Avenue — Restaurant in Quezon City

Dropped by here for some takeout coming from the expressway and decided to order the whole rack of bbq ribs (P1,759). We immediately consumed the ribs after getting home (~15 minutes). The ribs had cooled off but was not cold so I think there was only a pretty small margin of error from dining in.

The good thing is that the rack was a good size and had fork tender meat. Unfortunately, the bbq wasn't exemplary with no char and we found it lacking in saltiness and general flavor. I felt that not enough sauce was basted on the meat either. So while the meat was tender I would describe it as generally surface dry.

From the flavor profile of the marinade, I'd say it wouldn't be hard to replicate something very close to this at home and so I can't really give it that high of a score.

Service was reasonably prompt (given there were few customers ahead of us) and the restaurant looked pretty...

honestly at first it was good but 1h+ wait for the food and the server didn't even know the food and what the promo is and i thought maybe the 1h+ wait would be good because the food would be hot and fresh but the good was room temperature and the taste was ok i guess but the 1h+ wait isn't worth it, its room temperature not even hot they won with the sauce only the sauce we ordered a salad with chicken tenders and they forgot about the chiken tenders and when we got the chicken tenders they shouldve called chicken nuggets on how small it was in the picture it was big and when we got the forgotten chicken tenders it was so small paying 1800+ isn't worth it im still hungry because the whole chicken was so small i lost my appetite because of this and i haven't eaten all day i don't...

I was very suprised by this place as I did not expect that I would love it so much. It was our first time trying this place out as the first time we encountered it, I was not convinced to try it because apparently you were only just given to types of sauces from all that sauces they have with your meal. And as for this type of restaurant, the sauces are the best part of it. So to my surprise, after we ordered, our server said that we could just pick out our sauces in their sauce station and we can have as much as we want and I must say, their sauces are incredible. Definitely will be my favourite peri-peri restaurant from now on.
